wtf? Like digging for gold, or just the very inside. both are gross, but I can't even imagine looking at that.I had a girl working with me recently and she is one of the top artists in the country for that brand and I look at her and she was talking to a customer and picking her nose at the same time
LMAO
Because NO ONE can ever see you in your car![]()

So I went to Nordies today & stopped by the Guerlain counter. The SA was the manager of that Guerlain dept. even though she knew nothing about the Holiday collection other than the fact that she had catalog pictures. I explained to her that I have already seen pics etc. about it. Then she went in for the pushy hard sell. I said that I wouldn't mind ordering through her especially if any of the items are hard to get but I would really love to use ebates....to which she replied, oh, you will still get your pointsI was like no no no, ebates...blah, blah, blah I have to explain it to her. She then says, well you can do the online ordering thing but then pretty soon we'll have to close stores & what will happen to the beauty sales associates![]()
Then tried to pressure me to do a pre-order right away. Way to try to beat me down. It turned me off so much. Then she keeps coughing into her hands & tries to shake mine after doing that
She wanted my phone number. email, & wanted to text me....ummm no no no, you are not getting any of my info. Then she started pushing the expensive skin care on me & would not stop talking. I finally just said, I have a husband waiting on me I have to go...............roadrunner speed outta that dept.
geesh![]()

Guerlain have an office in Lasalle Qc so i'm sure people at that office have some input as far as marketing for the Canadian market .... I will be surprise to hear that Hourglass have any office in Canada as they are only sold at Sephora. Also I think us Canadian have more access to Guerlain then our southern neighbours so maybe sale per capita is higher here so they can offer a ''lower'' price for their products.I find that Guerlain are the smartest brand when it comes to a Canadian pricing strategy. Unlike a lot of brands who just do a blanket increase based on the exchange rate, Guerlain obviously tweaks the prices of individual items. Clearly, they realised that claiming the same margin on Canadian sales would bump the price over $100, which would likely be a mental "breaking point" for people thinking of purchasing. Now, when you do comparisons like the one with Hourglass, the Guerlain one looks like a better value.
Both? I think it is a really high pressure job and they need to meet their selling quotas for better salary, but also have more work hours, and have the best shifts. I wouldn't want their jobs, I think only the best SA have the perks and the remaining have to scratch their way out of the barrel. I did a quick search a little while ago on beauty SA in Dept store and they all tell the same story if they do not sell enough, they are fired. Some of these SAs are cringeworthy!!![]()
I wonder what their commission is, if they are so aggressive....
The few that are sort of nice that I try to talk to a little start telling me their sob stories. I'm starting to wonder if they are genuine or they are trying to play on my sympathy hoping I'll buy more stuff so they make more commission. (Am I just too cynical??)![]()
In my dream, I was sitting in the snow globe with the holiday balls...I don't know if I was really tiny, or if the container of the holiday balls were just enormous. ..either way, the dream was awesome!
Yaaaaaaaaaas!:drools: We all need the balls ASAP!
