Hair help! Fringe/not and should I get layers? included pictures

Hi

I know in the picutre my fringe looks a bit awful, since I cut it myself since my hair dresser never does what I ask, so being me I lnow best. But clearly I don't - it's dreadful but here was my attempt to make it look ok and how I want it when it grows out at the side.

I was wondering if you think it'd look better with / without a fringe and I was thinking about getting 1 layer in my hair about and inch under my chin.

What do you people think I should do?

Have you tried side-swept bangs? I think that would look really cute, and they are really easy to maintain. I wouldn't recommend getting just one layer; I did that but it looked choppy and weird. I would recommend getting a few soft layers instead of one big layer. HTH!

ok thanks. I tried side swept bangs but I got bored of them when I had them, but thanks, I am going to book a hair appointment for wednesday before chrissmtas hopefully lol
