Half EOTD- My attempt at glitter liner.

So, i was trying to do glitter liner- and i tried many different mediums to hold the glitter. I dipped my brush in Macroviolet fluidline, then into the glitter- but after a while, the glitter simply just fell out. I tried shadesticks, i tried paint pots, i tried eyelash glue, i tried mixing medium. ACK! And this liner stick was the only thing that would hold it decently. And the pictures are links because they are enormous.

MAC Mascara X- Black X
MAC Blacktrack Fluidline
MAC Glitter- Chartruese
Maybelline Cool Effect Cooling Shadow Liner- White

Any suggestions for trying it on the top of my lid? And this was purely an experiment, hahahah.

LOVE the glitter!!!

I've never tried glitter, but I know that Ben Nye makes Creme Pencils that hold shadow really well when you use them as a base. They're softer/creamier/stickier than regular liners because they're made for face painting, I believe. Very reasonably-priced, too. http://www.theatrehouse.net/mm5/merc...de=MakeBenFace

and too faced liquify is amazing

you just dip it in the glitter and it turns any eyeshadow or glitter into liquid liner!

looks hot btw x

i always used chapstick or lipstick to hold glitter on ... back when i was a "raver" haha, i wore just silver glitter, and i always put on a cheap silver lipstick as a base, then packed the glitter on top of it. It always stayed on till I took it off (all the way through those all night rave parties

get mac eyeliner mixing medium-it's the best!! you can even 'foil' your whole lid with glitter and it does hold....downside: some ppl. experience a slight stinging until it dries ( a minute or so)
for a thin line and occasional use ,mix some with clear eyelash glue....but only if you don't have any other options...(it goes on creamy and thick, so blend it well into a thin line )

Thanks ladies- i am going to attempt it yet again today. But this time actually finish the look instead of just doing the bottom. Hehe.
