(First Post)

So I live in an area with very little humidity, and it's really hard for me to grow out healthy hair.

My hair is short and wavy/curly.
It's soft towards the top and middle, but a little rough on the ends (Not quite damaged enough for split ends, but close)
Lately I've been using Garnier Fructis to wash and condition my hair every other day.
No heat styling.
I use Special Effects Curls Up as a 'protector'.

Any advice for adding and/or keeping moisture in my hair?

First, toss that Garnier Fructis stuff away (or give it away, or wash your makeup brushes with it) and buy some high quality shampoo, conditioner, and maybe a weekly treatment. Garnier stuff, well it basically sucks. Invest a bit in your hair, there are lots of good salon brands, like L'Oreal Professionel, Aveda, Wella System Professional, etc. Also, if your ends are feeling super dry, get a trim.

My climate is rather dry, and I love using this stuff called Color Save for Colored Ends by Bonacure. My stylist recommended it to me because my ends get dry and don't hold color, but I use it all the time whether my hair is colored or not. It's great for keeping some moisture in my ends between trims. My salon sells it but I've also seen it at Ulta.

I personally do not use any drug store brands on my hair. I use Loreal Professional which you can get from a salon.
- Get a good shampoo & condioner
- use a spray conditioners as well w/ vit. I use bed head
- I flat iron my hair so I use CHI silk infusion
- Also use a heavy duty conditioner (pro only from salon, speak to your hairstylist) & sleep w/ it in over night w/ a shower cap or towel. Wash it out the next day & follow w/ a light shampoo & light conditioner.

If you do all that, especially sleep w/ conditioner in your hair & using pro products. You will see a difference in your hair within 1 month

My hair grows like weeds. I also take good care of my hair.
I have some friends that do take pre natal vit. so they're hair & nails grow.

Thanks ladies! I'm running into some money here soon, so I'll do my research.
