i have the EXACT same story as EmbalmerBabe. I had a chipped front tooth when i was younger, they put bonding onit to make it normal til i was 18 and got veneers.
they grinded my teeth down to stubs, and put the veneers over them. they look good, but i am HIGHLY sensitive to cold drinks, even when the air conditioning is on strong in my car, it HURTS my front teeth. I have gone to the dentist complaingin and he keeps giving me orajel or whatever its called. I cant afford to get them re done, so i am pretty much screwed. also my gums have receded a little bit and you can see the line if you look super close ( i am sure no one else sees it, but it bothers the heck out of me)
i would suggest invisilign or whatever its called WAY before veneers. and veneers only as a last resort. a lot of people i know have sensitivity to cold with their veneers. i have to drink with a straw. ALL THE TIME
