Those of you who have depotted your NYX singles, what palette do you have them in? Share tips and pics... would love to see.

I've depotted 4 of my singles and put them in an empty MAC quad (I took the plastic thing out with the holes to fit MAC e/s that way you can put any shape in there)

I ordered about 10 quads from E.L.F. ($1 each) and if they ever get here, I am going to put all of my non-Mac colors in there like my NYX singles and trios, Milani, and Jane colors.

Like SoSoAmazin, I would take the plastic part out out of the quad and place the NYX singles in instead.

This also works if you take out the plastic part of a Mac 15-pan palette and put the NYX shadows in there.

HTH!

i did, but then i decided that they were easier for me to store at the moment in their original packaging so i put them all back.

I attempted depotting my NYX singles this morning using Enkore's method and it went horribly wrong. The first one I tried to do ended up destroyed so I stopped there. Does anyone have another method of doing it that doesn't involve using wirecutters?

TIA!

There is also a video about depotting nyx singles by htownpnai on youtube.com. She uses a heat method (hair straightener) rather than wire cutters. There are two parts to her video although they are both pretty short and the first one is all about depotting while the second one also includes her nyx collection. Here are the exact links:

LoveMac, just be careful and take your time. I say keep it on the iron a little more than 3 min just to make sure the glue is all undone, some of them are really glued in there!

hmm, i would be wary about using the hair straightener method, especially if you have an expensive straightener. unless you only have 1 or 2 to depot, i'm not exactly sure whether keeping your hair straightener on for so long to depot your nyx e/s is a good idea. since the straightener is generating a lot of heat there's a chance that it might get burnt out... i say this b/c i've tried this method before with my HAI straightener and ever since thing my straightener has been acting a little funny.

what i like to do is take a pipette, fill it up with alcohol, and inject the alcohol into the cracks in between the square e/s pan and the plastic container. afterwards, i let the e/s sit for a bit, letting the alcohol dissolve the glue and then i take an exacto knife or paring knife and lift the pan out of the pot.

and then i put it into a mac pallet.

hth.

I got a Yaby freestyle palette from camerareadycosmetics..com and I put my depotted NYX single e/s in there. I think it fits around 12 or so....only problem is the closure is kinda tight so be careful when opening it cause it could shatter your e/s

I depotted my NYX round trio eyeshadows this week (I had 18). I bought empty palettes from Coastal Scents and put the depotted shadows in there. They fit perfectly. There is a great tutorial on larahill using an iron (clothes iron) to depot your eyeshadows.

I have one of those HUGE old straighteners that I got at the Salvation Army for $1. I use that and some parchment paper (cupcake papers work in a pinch) to protect the plastic and keep it from sticking so I can B2M. I save my good straightener for frying my HAIR.

Hi! I am also Alyson with a Y!

I depotted NYX before and it turned out okay but I did end up putting them back in the original packages.

For the square NYX's I scraped the shadow out and put them in circular pans from coastal scents, pressed them, then put them in a palette.
