Because it's on eBay and I don't own too many mac brushes to compare it to. I just wanted a second opinion. Thank you!

Oh! Yeah it is a good idea to check. Well, no expert on brushes here, but it looks like mine: shape, size of brush head relative to size of ferrule, design of ferrule, JAPAN as place of production...

Let's see if anyone else can shed more light
