I don't want it too look super pink that's why. I was thinking about layering it with MAC Peaches, but I scared it'll be too shiny, because they both aren't matte. Do you guys have any recommendations ? For reference I'm NC 42.
Try layering a little Mineralize Skin Finish natural over the blush. That helps soften the pink of Dollymix without having to put too much pigmented blush. I like using a 187 brush to apply Dollymix and then using a 150 or 129 brush over the blush.
can you just lightly touch the brush into the blush so that it doesn't pick up too much color and lightly sweep it on your cheeks? that's what i always do for really dark or bright blushes that i need to tone down
I'd definitely second using a 188 or 187 to apply it. I have an Illamasqua blush that's crazy pigmented and being pale I have to be careful not to look clownish - I use the 187 and it's great.
Alternatively you could try a more neutral/safe blush and then just add a touch of Dollymix for a 'pop' ?
Use a 188 or a 187 and gently build the color up to the intensity you desire. You should definitly mix them! Try it! If its too much just take it off!!
