How To Recreate The Human Statue Look With Body Paint

I apologize if I placed this in the wrong thread, I wasn't too sure.

A friend of mine asked me to paint him head to toe to look like the Statue of David. I have a few ideas, however I thought I might ask for a second opinion. I don' t have any experience with body painting specifically, so I thought I might ask all of you talented artists what you think.


Here a few of my current ideas;
1) Paint rollers used to obtain the stone texture.
2) Air Brush
3) Sponged

I am going to use a light grey water based paint most likely, but if there is anything better I would love to hear.

I am looking at a few brands for the paints, mainly kryolan and menrhon. Anything you know that might be better?

air brush and sea sponges along with some light splatter.

to get the texture of the sea sponge to show up, you might want to try something with a thicker texture.
