how to use the e/s duos from A MUSE?!

i'm slowly changing my mind about getting any of the duos. the colors seem to be so pretty, but how are the duos to be used? in my experience, when 2 or more colors are in 1 pot, you use the e/s in such a way that you eventually have dips in each of the colors, but the border between the colors remains untouched. then, after a while, it just becomes difficult to use the e/s...

Just use each colour along the border in the middle first and work your way to the outer edge of the pan. Kind of the way you would a regular eyeshadow. Plus you could blend the two colours together in the middle to create a third colour
