I bought these shoes from Payless & on the website site it says it looks great over tights or jeans. I can't wear them with skirts/dresses because I'm short & I have really skinny ankles & it just emphasizes that.

I tried wearing them over my skinny jeans & same thing....emphasized my chicken leg ankles lol

I put my skinny jeans over the folded cuff of the boot & it looked okay...
But wouldn't that defeat the purpose of the ankle boot?

Unless you're really, really happy with them-or if they were cheap-I'd just say exchange them if you can.

Personally, I don't find ankle boots with stumpy heels and cuffs like this appealing, especially on ladies with height and legs like you described.
