I am SO excited!! This is so too good to be true!!! I'm a freelance makeup artist, I usually, until now have always used the customer's foundation, if they didn't have then I would go buy it, so I dont have much as far as foundation/powders/concealers go.

What are the first things I should invest in?? What is your favorite foundation to use on brides/special occasions - suitable for pictures?? I heard Studio Tech.

And what powders? The blot powders?

I can't wait! I'm going to buy SOOO much stuff!!!!!!!!

First of all, congrats on your card. Enjoy!

-I would start out with the Select Stick Foundations (they are easy to mix and are buildable) and Loose Select Sheer Powder.

-Maybe a few Select Foundations and LIQUID Studio Fix for those with oilier complexions.

-Oh, and loose blot.

-Don't buy Studio Fix Powder. It reflects the flash and your brides can risk looking ghostly in their photos.

-I love the Select Cover Up concealer for under the eyes. It works great on the lid if the client has a discoloured lid area. It isn't cakey.

-That and have some Moisture Cover concealers on hand for those clents that have really dry or wrinkled undereye areas. Nothing else works like it. I really don't like it on the rest of the face though. It doesn't do much anywhere else IMO.

-Perhaps a few Full Coverage. Those can also double as concealer for the face (they are the same formula as the Studio Finish concealers in the pot, btw).

-Some Face and Body (wedding gowns can show a lot of skin).

-Fast Response Eye Cream to prep the eyes.

-The Oil Control really mattes the skin. I would only use this on a person who has a pretty oil prone complexion though. It can be drying otherwise.

-Strobe Cream

-Waterproof Mascara for the brides.

-Some #20 lashes. They are natural enough for weddings, but still make the lashes look amazing. Don't forget lash glue! The pro stores carry Duo dark also.

You already freelance, so I am assuming you have disposable wands and all that. Ummmm??? Can't think of anything else at the moment. Geez, I didn't even mention colours!! But I think I may have already broken your wallet! Sorry! Have fun.

Omg thanks so much!! Very helpful info! Yes I'm already a freelance MA, but never had enough money to invenst in a full line of stuff because I wouldn't even make the little profit I do make!! I do have disposable brushes and spatuals that I get from Sallys. I personally use the Studio Mist, and before that I used Studio Fix, so i never used their foundations. I want to make sure to get good ones because I'll be using them for Brides mostly! Thanks!!
