i want to play with color...

Right now I am stuck in the neutral zone.
Plus at the moment I only own pigments.
But I'm planning a trip and hope to drop $200 on MAC, if I can save a bit more for other things.

What I want to know is, what colors could I pull off?
I'm always unsure so I never try anything.
I often wear the colors, brown/tan, blue, grey... some green.. olive and turq.-ish. I'm lame in colors for my clothes too.

Here's me, sans-makeup.

I think anyone can pull off any color, it's just a matter of finding the right shade of the color

Anyways... if most of your make-up is neutral I think you should try a bright liner. They stand out well against neutrals and add a nice "pop".

Fluidlines in Iris Eyes and Blue Peep are really nice.

The new collection, C-Shock, has some really great, bold colors in shadows. Big-T is really beautiful if you're into teals.

I agree...start with a bit of colorful liner. I always used to shy away from blues/greens. I always preferred pinks/oranges/gold colors. I picked up a Liquidlast Liner in Aqualine...I LOVE IT. It actually helped me branch out and use my eyeshadows in greens/blues.

So I say start with fluidlines like Emma said or a LLL.

Good luck!

Unfortunately, eyeliner is just not my thing. I am completely hopeless when it comes to applying it. I evene had someone teach me how, but still, I'm pathetic at it. I'm okay with a pencil liner.. but only on the bottom. Even then it still looks juvienille. *ha*

I do have a couple more questions... pan shadows... those are pro products right? And do they come in the same colors as the potted ones? Or whould I have to be some potted ones and de-pot them myself?

And one more Pro question.. I was told there's a new Pro store near by.. I know there's a new Mac store, but I dont know if its a Pro one and I cant find a number.. nor is the store showing on up on the mac/mac pro site. How long does it usually take to show up on the sites. It open in the last month. Its a 1.5 hour drive, so popping in isn't an option... i'd be making a special trip to get to it..

Most of the regular line eyeshadows come in Pro pans or pots (same colors), and are sold at a pro or freestanding stores,.. the Limited Edition stuff,.. Like C-Shock's will only come in pots and have to be depotted.

Additional thought: There are a few weird ones,.. I think Gesso might be one of them that do not come in Pro pan for even though its a regular line product. You may wanna search the forums for this info,.. but most regular line are available in pro pan,.. and if its a pro store they have some additional colors.

Good luck. . .

I also think you could pretty much pull off most colours so long as the look is done well and they're the right shades. You could try just buying some brighter/deeper colours and use them along with what you have at the moment. Then you can figure out what works well for you.
When I look at your picture I think purple, for some reason. That would work with the blues you already have, no?
