Thanks for all the good wishes! I'm back but very tired after a lot of walking every day. I even managed a trip to Tetuan and Tangier in Morocco which were both fascinating. I saw fake handbags but no cosmetics I could tell were fake. I had a wonderful time and will be returning to normal service tomorrow
Gibraltar is a lump of rock only 2¼ square miles in area on the southern tip of Spain which has been ruled by the British since the 18th Century and is now a British territory with its own government. It's able to control the entry to the Mediterranean sea from the Atlantic Ocean so is strategically important and has had a significant military presence going back hundreds of years. It's a free port so products are sold tax free in the shops.
