Is this genuine, please?

Thank you

I saw on the MAC website that there is 'Chartreuse' and there is 'True Chartreuse' - both Pro colours. It is the one just called 'Chartreuse' that I am looking for. There is no MAC store anywhere near me, let alone a Pro store, unfortunately.

The colours on a monitor don't always match up to the real thing, so I wasn't sure

idk how true it is, but I was told that you can call and order from Pro and they won't ask about your pro card... you could try that! lol

I don't see any prices listed on the Pro site, though

You dont need a pro card to buy from a pro store ladies

The pro card lets MAs purchase at a discount. You can ring the pro store and put an order in for anything you like - you just wont get the discount. All you need is a CC or DC and they will post it out to you!

This seller sells fake Mac pigments. I've seen them posting a ton of them. Go to the feedback & you will be able to see the past listings. Though they got positive feedback for all of them, they are clearly fakes.

Chartreuse is a pro color, and it is a brighter green than what is depicted in the seller's picture. However, the picture came out bad due to the lighting so you can't really say that it's fake. The seller provided the picture of the bottom of the jar. The label on the bottom shows Chartreuse as well as the date code. Majority of the Pro pigments have a clear label. I have checked my Chartreuse pigment , and it's similar to the picture that the seller has.

I would say that this particular pigment is authentic because of the bottom of the jar. I notice her eBay ID, and she usually bids/buys MAC lots for resell. Perhaps she purchased this lot shown here from a US seller which includes the Chartreuse pigment:

To save me taking over someone else's thread, I'll post my next question here.

I have 4 eyeshadows here that, after going through all my makeup, I have decided are either suspicious or I'm not sure about.

Opinions requested, please?

The colours are

Nocturnelle, bought from angelicgandk

Brun, bought from adajacobs

Humid, bought from cherryberryco

Black Tied, bought from beverleybelle

I have photographed all 4 together, and the front and back pics have the shadows in the same position in each.

As you can see, the Nocturnelle has a shinier box than the others, which does not show marks, whereas the other 3 all show marks easily if you rub the back of a nail on them. Also the printing on the back of the actual Nocturnelle pot is a different colour to any others I have - all the others seem to have almost grey writing on, whereas this has more of a cream look on a darker label.

The 'e' on the front of the Humid box is somewhat fatter than any of the others I have.

All bar Nocturnelle (of these 4) have shiny black stickers on the box, with the colour name.

They were the two I was most suspicious about, thanks for confirming that.

The other two also have boxes which mark easily, and I have read that Black Tied is a commonly faked one, so I wasn't entirely sure.

I compared all my eyeshadows with the Brulé I bought direct from MAC online.

Is Black Tied really that sparkly? I thought it was gold pearl not silver? I'm not sure, it's hard to tell...
