Joe Blasco's $350 artist textbook?

Has anyone bought this, or gone through it? How comprehensive is it, and is it worth the incredibly hefty price tag? I've been working primarily as a fashion/beauty MA for 4 years now, and I wonder if the book shows some basic techniques for film(ageing, applying facial hair,etc) that I could learn without paying through the nose for a full course in a school.

from the picture that i saw on his website, the book looks good but i wouldn't buy it because of the price. its a rip off.

I think for the price, a course would be better, just because you get the hands on, with people actually teaching and talking to you.
