how do you do it other than using a lip brush?

i guess i'm just too lazy to whip out the lip brush whenever i want to throw gloss over my lipstick, and i absolutely hate it when you get all sorts of colours on the sponge or gloss brush.

prime example: using elle lipglass over ANYTHING. (grr)

I wipe the wand on a tissue or my hand.

I am right there with you...it drives my OCD crazy! I whip out the wand on a light lipgloss and see the remnants of some darker lipstick on there, and even though it doesn't change the color of the gloss, I get quite annoyed. Usually, I just let it go, but if it's a particularly dark lipstick, I make sure I have clean hands and wipe it on my finger and blend it back onto my lips, or just wipe on a tissue.

I usually put a little on the back of my hand and use a lip brush to apply my gloss.
