Perhaps you didn't use enough castor oil? What was your blending oil, and how much did you use?

I'm curious because the OCM actually worked well for me..

Thats what I find really unusual because I've read that people have had GREAT results yet it breaks me out.

I use 2 tablespoons of EVOO + 2 Tablespoons of Castor Oil. I got that off some site that rec that mix for combo skin.

Carlyx, not everything works well for everyone. EVOO and or castor oil may not be the best thing for you to use; I know they don't work well for me and my skin is combo/oil. Have you tried pure jojoba oil? Jojoba oil melts the sebum your skin produces and is VERY effective. Although, to be honest, not even jojoba oil is suitable for everyone, just as OCM isn't for everyone.

When you're done using oil to cleanse your skin, be sure to rinse if off completely with a microfiber cloth or toner and a cotton pad.

OK. you should have 2 different skin care regiments. 1 for fall/winter & spring summer.

In the summer, I use proactive
In the winter months, I use Aveeno foaming wash w/ cetaphil moisterizer

I have very sensitive skin. Everyone is different. You have to use what's good for you

I've heard that the OCM should only be used during the winter months, unless you have severely dry skin (I could probably get away with it but I'm still slightly skeptical about it!). I've heard from several people that it just didn't agree with their skin in the hot summer heat.

I don't know what skin type you are, and since skin care is so incredibly personal it's hard to give accurate advice :] However, I have dry, sensitive, acne-prone skin and use DDF Blemish Foaming Cleanser in the AM and DDF Brightening Cleanser in the evening. Not natural/organic products, but with intensive moisturizers (my skin is really dry and the salicylic acid doesn't help) that I've finally found to work, my skin has stayed pretty clear. Sephora has an entire section on their website devoted to organic products that you might want to check out?

On another note.. When I was talking to the skin-care specialist at Sephora, I told her I tried a certain product and the next day, it made me break out. She told me it was unlikely that the product caused it because blemishes are present for two weeks prior to their surfacing on the epidermis..I don't know if this is true, partially true, or just false, but maybe the breakout wasn't the OCM? It could be due to stress or another product?
