Thank you to all who posted swatches. Looks like I'm just getting two or three lipsticks and one pigment. already got SR so I'm good. I made the mistake of falling in love with some expensive sneakers lol....rather spend money on those. Okay two pairs, already ordered one B-)

I totally agree with you. That is why I am selling off my entire MAC collection. I am sick and tired of their antics. They are not the only game in town.

While I was off from work sick a week ago, I decided to finally open my eyes and look at what was involved in animal testing. Oh, my, it's horrible and sickening. A lot ... and I mean the majority of the companies out there ... say they are against animal testing and don't do it, but if they sell to China, animal testing is happening. That is also another reason for getting rid of my MAC cosmetics. That is 99% percent of what I own. The other 1% will be used until they are gone. Then that is it. No more animal-testing companies from here on out, I have made a conscious decision to only buy from cruelty-free lines ... Too Faced, Tarte, Hourglass, Anastasia, Lorac, Bite Beauty, Fresh, Josie Maran, DERMAdoctor, Ren, First Aid Beauty, etc. It will be quite the journey finding new items when needed, but the images of those poor animals won't leave my mind. No eye liner or any other product is worth hurting some cute little bunny or anything else, for that matter.

The next step will be going vegetarian and dairy free. Wish me luck.

I guess only DD for me! And PT bu. I like NB but if T says it only wears 1.5 hours on her it lasts like 15 minutes on my lips lol. :lol:

I think I might just skip the MSF's. I'm not interested in the new PT, and I already have SR from 2012. Still want both blushes and both fluid lines though. Definitely still want DD, SD, and HH... plus Playful Petal and a BU for my Star Quality and Galaxy Rose. I think that's it for me. The other lipsticks (my weakness) are calling my name, but I must resist...

I had ordered all the lippies except for NB and HH. After seeing swatches of NB I though I might go pick it up in store but not anymore! Also, I have this feeling that its probably really similar to Patisserie which I have... Thank you temptalia!

After seeing the lipsticks on Temptalia I'm even more excited to receive my order. While not super unique, they look like colours I'll get a lot of use out of.

I really like T's lip swatches. DD and HH are my favorite! I also ordered snap dragon and naked bud. After seeing her review, I'm actually kind of happy I did. I like the sheerness of those lippies. It says spring to me On another note, why are the blushes so gorgeous? And here I thought I could save some $$$.

Nope, my original PT that has a ton of purple veining doesn't look pink at all. I even tried swatching it over NYX Milk and I still see no pink, only a peachy beigy color like all the swatches of the new one.

And I have to say, this round of SR does look great. I actually never use my SR but I think the new one makes a great highlighter. To buy or not to buy.. that is the question.

But what people need to understand, is that PT is a new new colour (yes, same name, but new colour) this round, which i did mention before the collection launched. And that all MSFs are individually different from each other and throughout itself. So when you're using it this week, it's gonna be different from itself next week. Everyone is comparing their individual Pt to everyone else's. They're not gonna be the same. There might not be pink/purple on the top, but give it a week or two and there will be. The same applies to SR.


I'm ok when they re-formulate or if it doesn't have the pretty veining but they should have said "beige" in description as I thought I was buying a pink product. that to me was the disappointment. I personally really like mine now and i'm now glad it isn't pink because this beige is a very subtle perfect glow for my NC15 skin tone.

and @erinie1881 now I don't want it to be different under all those layers!! LOL Do the layers always vary underneath on all MSF's? I've never used one long enough to see lol

I have to say, though I love Temptalia's swatches for the most part, sometimes her swatches are very sheer and she doesn't show how buildable a lipstick can be. We've already seen much heavier swatches. If I was going on hers alone I wouldn't even think of these lipsticks but the swatches of ladies on here are much different/better IMO.

Yeah I agree 100% that's why I don't always trust her swatches, I have to do more of a search because of how she swatches things...

I contacted MAC CS about my concerns...it will take a little while to get my new one as I have to get a return label from them, mail it off, get the new one sent to me...so hopefully I get one that is reflected of the other PT..but I am just not sure if that will happen. SO I am wondering if I should just get my money back.

Just get your money back, this seems to be a batch wide thing, and then you'll just have to pay for shipping again to return it

Wow!! I knew from @erine1881's earlier comments that they would be different formulas but these products look absolutely NOTHING alike. I had a feeling when things were so hush hush that there was something off.. I'm really glad I skipped this PT since it looks so much like Soft and Gentle which I have. I hope those of you who aren't happy can return your products.. and if not, I hope you send a chastising email to MAC anyway!

I hope MAC gets a lot of emails. They can't disappoint so many customers and then get away with it like nothing happened. They need to change whatever they're doing. Like others said before, if it's such a different product, give it a different name!
I'm really thinking about skipping this collection completely now, but I don't know if I can. Even though I know PT isn't the same as previous releases I still feel like I want to have it in my collection. I know that shouldn't be a reason to buy a product, so I guess I'm still more of an addict than I'd like to be.

And I thought about Soft & Gentle as well, they do seem very similar... funny that I never even looked at it and considered getting it just because it's perm.

I already know that when this realeases in Germany the MSFs will be gone in a blink of an eye and nobody will care if they're different. People will buy them just to have them. And SR will go for 50€ on evilbay...

not sure i've returned a few things and they always send me labels. I've never paid for return shipping once. I think you can use return label in the box too- that i'm not sure of.

all my returns were either wrong item sent or defective so maybe that's different than 'i don't want'

That's probably why, although when I've called about defective or incorrect items they've just told me to keep or discard, they've never wanted them back.

I was going to say that too. I always think her swatches look washed out. Maybe her studio lighting is too light or something, which is why I started looking at Allura more because hers tend to be more "color true" IMO. Her swatches of Snapdragon are GORG and her blush swatches are amazing too!

I'm so glad after seeing Snapdragon, that I ordered 4. At first it might have sounded crazy but I will wear the hell out of that color on my lips! I'm NC40 so I'm excited for the shimmery blushes too, of which I got both. Finally, some blush variety!!!
