After studying my perfect topping this afternoon, I noticed there's a TINY sliver of that purple from the original version. That'd be cool if that purple color peaks out more as I use it. But honestly, it's so small right now that I can't even get it swatched separately from the rest of it. There may be hope?

doubtful.

that's called striping -- and does not usually penetrate to the deeper levels of the product. best to exchange and get one more to your liking.

It won't change a whole lot. Visually in the pan it might, or if you focus your brush in one area of the pan, but if you swirl your brush over the entire pan, it'll be the same.
