Does anyone think MAC looks into discussions like Specktra and think, hey no one wants lustre lipstick let's make a whole collection with just lustres so they can hold true to their low-buys lol

Lustre finish is generally pretty sheer, right? If so... I guess I will be passing. I'm not crazy about sheer finishes.
Some of the newer Lustres aren't that sheer, actually. Still, they're sheerer than most of the other finishes.

I'm sort of surprised they did an entire collection with only one lipstick finish. That's not the norm for MAC, but it's not unheard of. The newer lustres are nice usually, though, and not super sheer. Also, lustre lipstick + csg is always a gorgeous combination. The Semi Precious collection did that really beautifully.

I'm intrigued by this Chartreuse Bouquet pigment - I considered the chartreuse pigment from Punk Couture but even that one didn't run totally green on me and looked more yellow.

Not sure if I will consider Sassy Moss a good replacement for my beloved Ivy, yet…would have preferred it without gold shimmer, but if it's tiny, the shimmer will help make it look more opaque when applied.

MAC, you are bringing back so many of the good csgs - WHEN will you bring Looks Like Sin back at last???

I may not buy lustre lippies, but clearly somebody is buying them. I guess I'll wait till the summer collections. More money for tarjay.

Thanks Liba, DeeDeeDelight and Tahlia! I'm wondering why all lippies are Lustres. It seems a bit boring to have 6 with the same finish. So far the fluidlines are the most exciting to me.

Still sticking to 2 lipsticks.
The peach nude looks like the peach-nude from Retro Matte (but in lustre) which I already have,
The Naked Bud is a skip since I like my MLBB lipsticks in satin or matte and definitely not lustre.
The pastel pink is also a skip, I have a feeling it would be less flattering on me than on fair NW skin.
Coral red is a skip for me because it reminds me of party parrot which didn't like me.
That leaves the two darker ones.

I'm also not digging that everything is in Lustre finish. My beloved Venus lipstick from Heavenly Creatures has developed snow. Grrr.

Also getting PT.

I'm sticking to my original 3 items as well!

I like Star Quality CSG; I bought it the first time in 2012 and then again in the holiday gloss set in December. My new one is in the fridge unopened waiting for spring. I'm so glad I bought those sets; the CSGs are a much better value that way and now I have enough for the year and can skip the single collections.

Last summer's Narcissus and Fever Isle (both still untouched) will also debut once the weather changes and I finish off the last little bit of my open summery colours.

Ok so based on the color story, there seems to be a TON of repromotes of past and permanent items. Shop your stashes ladies. Especially my fellow low-buy friends!
Lipsticks - all new but lustres
CSG- Pagoda (perm)
- Star Quality (Reel Sexy Collection)
- Galaxy Rose (Heavenly Creatures Collection)
Pigment- Lily White
MSFs- Stereo Rose (repromoted at least 3 times)
- Perfect Topping (Sugar Sweet Collection)
Nail Polish - Pep Pep Pep (Archie's Girls Collection)
- Saint Germain (perm)
- Girl Trouble (Glamor Daze Collection)
- Soiree (perm)
MES- Repromotes from Asia exclusive release
MB- New
Brushes - all permanent

Based on that I can definitely stick to my low buy. Just the MSFs for me and maybe a blush or lipstick pending swatches.

I'm probably alone in this, but I don't mind repromotes. I'd rather MAC reissue a really strong product that people love (like Superb) than make one that's all but identical and give it another name. Particularly for things like CSGs (that have a shorter shelf life than powders) or MSF (that take years to finish). It makes it easier to resist backups since I'd rather repurchase a fresh one later if I really do love it and use it all up.

I enjoy new finishes (EDSF, Huggables, etc.) too, but I'm fine with seeing old loves again.

I quite like lustre lippies, hmm. I'm interested in Heavenly Hybrid and Dreaming Dahlia. Just waiting on swatches now!

Sight unseen, I am getting Phlox Garden + BU.

Chances are very high I also get Sassy Moss.

The blushes will probably be very tempting to me, but I'm not yet feeling Perfect Topping.

I AM laughing a little at everyone saying they're going to skip the lipsticks. Just from looking at the pictures and descriptions, I've got a feeling Fleur D'Coral and Naked Bud are going to wind up as HG nudes for more than a few. If Dreaming Dahlia is anything like VG Cyndi, everyone is going to go crazy too. Personally, I've got my eyes on Snapdragon and Heavenly Hybrid, even if it's the truth I don't need any more lipstick in my life.

Thank you, Tahlia! I need to go back and catch up a bit, but I am loving this Springy collection. My preliminary list, which may need to be cut a bit since I want to be on a low buy (hahahaha that is hilarious. Me on a low buy

).

Lippies: Dreaming Dahlia, Snap Dragon, Rose Lily & Heavenly Hybrid
Fluid lines: Phlox Garden (no question about that) and I'll consider Sassy Moss if I have enough money
Not sure on Stereo Rose or Perfect Topping for myself. I will probably get one of them if I have enough money
I like both blushes, but may hold off as mineralized blushes aren't really my friends.
Also not sure on the pigments.
Skipping the eye shadows.
