there price increase is nothing compared to gas or food. I feel like eating is so much more now then it was ten yrs ago!!
Shoot I agree! Anytime I go to Safeway (Vons depending where you are) I seem to never get out under 150. Granted I eat mostly fresh food so it costs more but still! [@]liba[/@] thanks for you input! I hate the hype for most mac products. Most of the time there's something close but people want to be part of the "exclusive" club. I feel sad when I see people shell out $100 on ONE lipstick. I'm like go buy some TF, Dior, get a massage, ANYTHING but the dumb lipstick lol. People can buy whatever they want but really? A 5 year old lipstick, powder, etc? There will be plenty more future hyped products. Anyhow, I love the new stereo rose and plan on getting it! I hated the old ones so I'm happy lol

I love whole foods! I shop there plenty so I know the feeling! I used to love the one where I used to live. Now I avoid the one near me. People are way too stuck up, in a hurry, and rude most the time lol

Lucky for me they put one in closer to me a few yrs back and its less bougie lol. the other two are far away in snooty towns wit ass wipes who dont care if they drive wrecklessly cuz there rich bitch, and have money for tickets!! So i need to get my booty over there tomorrow sometime. im sick of QFC or Krogers. They do have cold Perrier tho where Safeway dosnt and that alone makes me hate Safeway lol. Or Walmart, they dont even have Perrier, whats the point of going there if they dont have my Holy Grail item i have to have!!!

I skipped all of them. No bueno for pale NW complexions.
I should have listened to you! I did with Apres Chic, but foolishly did not with Tropical Taboo. I let myself be hypnotized by pretty swatches and such, and ended up with Lust and Adored MSF. I can sort of pull them off if I work really hard at it and use other products with them, but they are not the most flattering to me regardless and too much trouble for the pricetag. Not making that mistake again with this collection!

I think the only mineralized powder product to come out since summer 2012 that actually looked flattering on me was Tropica MES!

I am clinging to hope that I can actually wear AitA without having a reaction to the dye.

Shopping lists for the collections from Mac-Guy would be amazing and very helpful for us pale NWs, wouldn' t they????

Mac-Guy is definitely my go-to here for what will look right on me! I have learned if he says no dice for pale, cool toned, it seriously is no dice for yours truly. I have yet to find an exception to that.

My favorite MUA (the counter manager, actually) served that role for me before, but he transferred to another city, and while the new manager is very nice, she is the sell, sell, sell type. AKA will try to convince you that you need everything, regardless of if it works on your coloring or not. There is one MUA who is very honest with me about upcoming collections and will outright tell me if I should skip it altogether due to my color or tastes, or to just get one or two things, but she is rarely there when I can go these days. So my counter buying experience is not fun like it once was.

Did you decide what you're getting (if anything), MACina? I guess it will just be AitA MB (if no allergic reaction) and maybe Playful Petal CSG for me.

So far I have SD,HH and RL lipsticks, both fluidlines, both pigments and AitA on my list.Still debating on the "new" PT. I am so tempted by it but not sure
whether it will look good on me.Maybe I should stick to my BUs from Sugarsweet????
sigh.gif

Initially I wanted PT for sure but after seeing (comparison) swatches I am no longer sure....

SD, HH, and RL all look very lovely! They were my initial wants. Colors like Snapdragon flatter my skin tone, but don't work well with my lip color (dark pink). RL is probably different enough from Raspberry Swirl for me to give it a whirl (
girlhaha.gif
), but I really need to make some cutbacks, so that's why I'm skipping that. HH is beautiful too, but too close to Dish It Up (which I already own and haven't used! Shame on me). All that said, I bet you will enjoy all three if you get them!

If you do get the fluidlines, do let me know how you like them! Green is tricky as a liner on me due to my green eyes, and having the Color Tattoo is a cheaper alternative for me anyway. Purple liners work better on my eyes, but the swatches are just too warm toned. It would look funny on me.

I assume Sugarsweet is the original (or one of the original) PT release collections? I wish I had been into makeup back then! The older pink one Temptalia has would have been perfect on me.

I really hope the fluidlines will look good on me! I plan on using them as bases too, though.Maybe will use them more as a base than a liner.
I am always on the hunt for colored bases

I have to admit, though, that I was hoping Sassy Moss would have been a bit deeper and without the golden shimmer

Yes, PT was initially released with the Sugarsweet Collection and there has not been a repromote since then.

Orgasm, Petal Power

Top to Bottom: Raspberry Swirl, Girl Next Door, VGG, Rose Lily

Top to Bottom: Snapdragon, Heavenly Hybrid, Rose Lily, Dreaming Dahlia
Thanks a million for posting these! :D Now I'm even more torn over Rose Lilly because it looks like a mix of all of those other pinks but I have VGG and GND. Which of all of the pinks applied the smoothest and even?

Dreaming Dahlia looks amazing, I guess one lipstick is on my list after all.

Lovely, but that doesn't look very reddish-coral at all to me! Looks almost like a pinky nude...maybe it's just the lighting doing that?
Yes, I should have used natural lighting outside or something. I also didn't build it up much. I was very much impressed with this color and texture which says a lot coming froom a gal that lovees her mattes and satins! You won't be disappointed!!!!

Do you like Petal blush on? I've been debating about it. I would love to know what you think
I thought I wasn't going to like it, because I don't care for gold highlights on my skin, but as soon as I applied it, my eyes bugged out! It's so beautiful. I'd call it a softer, sheerer Lovecloud that can be built up or applied very subtly depending on the brush you're using. It's got a pastel brightness to it, but so totally natural at the same time, because of the beautiful texture. It's not sparkly like Talk of the Town, just smooth perfect sheen. I couldn't see gold on my face, which made me happy, because that would have been a deal breaker for me. It's less high sheen than AitA too, but neither of them show too much highlight if you use a 129 to apply (I actually got stronger pigmentation and sheen in a single layer with a 187 with both of the blushes, which was a surprise - I'm going to use them with 129 for quick daytime blush for going to the supermarket and with 187 when I want the world to see my beautiful blush!)

Seriously, both of these blushes are thrilling and make my heart skip a beat. I do already have Sakura and Unconventional and Lovecloud and love 'em all, but these MBs take them out back and leave 'em in the clown blush trashcan. I'm not kidding!

If you already have BU's that you haven't been cracked open, no need to spend money on more PT. I used a tester with a lot of lavender compared to a whole box of them and it was relatively cool toned on me, but only if I concentrated on the lavender only. The base color is more like a very sheer pale pantyhose color, if that makes sense - nude with peach tones. With lots of lavender, that base color is still there but with an extra, pale illuminating veil that is cool (and even a teeny bit ashy for me, but not bad chalky ashy, just not really natural (I'm NC15 on the neutral side right now)
Thank you, liba

The one you will want for sure is Azalea in the Afternoon!!! That's your pale cool pink par excellence! PT you would really need to try in person, as I could see it not being perfect for you unless you could pick out your veins. Even then, it might give you a slight "tan", since you're super pale.

I have green eyes, and Sassy Moss f/l was GORGEOUS on me and not fighting with my eye color at all. I will use it for cat eye wings, but it did act as a decent base for the pigments too.

Hehe, I'm not Mac-Guy, but I'd say all the face products in this collection will be a little tricky if you are a super pale NW with excessive red in your cheeks and do not like adding a little bit of warmth to your face (although PT won't pull orange, just a bit beige, if you're in that boat and could be OK - try in person). Azalea in the Afternoon is gorgeous, though - like a perfectly sheer, sheeny Sakura MB. Even paler and more glowy than Sakura. If you loved Sakura, you will loose your patootie over AitA - it's like the diamond crystal version of it. P.S. it's not the texture of Amber Glow or Talk of the Town - it's only sheen compared to them, where you see the sparkle in certain lights and conditions.
