I do love myself

& I really like a light application of Novel Romance.

I REALLY REALLY love Earth Sign liner - its the perfect Espresso Brown which I was hoping for. I used it on naked lids & it hasn't budge.

Love reading everyone's thoughts on this collection!

I was able to hit up a counter on my lunch and only picked up A Passionate Quest quad. At first glance it didn't look like anything special, but a nice grouping of complementary colors. The sales associate offered to do an eye look for me and I happily agreed. So much prettier on the eye! Serenade and Brazenly especially look much more complex. He also used Evil Twin Fluidline eye pencil which I liked very much, and may go back for. Fun Ending was used for blush and it looks good, but nothing special to me. I tested out Reckless Desire lipglass and it was too duochrome/glittery for me. And this is someone who loves Clear Water lipglass from Alluring Aquatics.

I'm glad those liners are permanent. Earth Sign is definitely calling my name! Nice to hear that it has pretty good staying power.

Forgot to add in my previous post... There was only one sell out at my counter. Switch to Blue Electric Cool eye shadow. I thought it was interesting it was the first sell out there. Very dramatic shade of frosty blue that looked like it could lean duochrome. Also a really fun "bouncy" texture.

I did end up getting Lingering Kiss and somehow Fun Ending ended up coming home with me too. I will try and post some swatches later. I was surprised at how pigmented Fun Ending turned out to be on me. I thought it wouldn't really show up, but it's actually awesome on my NC15ish skin.

I'm over 1,100 posts behind... being away most of the past 7 weeks has something to do with it.

I went to my local MAC. There wasn't a big crowd - i didn't expect one - but there were more than usual in the AM. The shop hadn't gotten one of the lipglasses i wanted :-( But i got to test everything else.

I ended up getting Myself, which looked too peachy in photos, but was much more neutral on my arm or my lips. I'm happy with it, but i if i were sensible should have passed, since i've gotten several good nudes in the past year. I also tested Lingering Kiss, but passed because i have so many deep plum lipsticks - every once in a while i'm a little sensible

I got the plum blush, Animal Instincts, but i didn't have a brush with me, so i haven't tried it on my face.

I got several of the new Fluidline pencil eyeliners. The colors look relatively tame in dim light, but they all have a nice sheen in more light - not frost or shimmer, just a light reflective sheen which draws the eye.

I also picked up some of the Electric Cool eye shadows. I read reviews from their previous release, so i'm not going in blind. I put a couple on after i got back to my car, along with a Fluidine pencil. I will have to re-test, because blue-violet Highly Charged, which is in my crease, has turned sheer burgundy on me. I don't know if it was the affected of the other color i used as a base, but even so, that's a rather drastic change.

I love the depth of the Espresso as its not as stark as a black liner but still defines the eye. Its really humid here today & I wore it outside to trim my rose & then I cooked over steam & did a long workout & it looks just like it did when I applied it earlier today. Having said that, my eyeliners don't usually smudge anyway. I don't know why, but they just don't.

I've been loving the look of brown liner! Perfect for something not too drastic and over the top. Wow you really tested the wear of that eyeliner!

Was lucky enough to go to the counter during my lunch break. It was surprisingly very busy, but nothing was sold out yet.

I surprised myself. I came in with a long list of things to get, but walked out with only Fun Ending and Reckless Desire. The quads were all really nice, but nothing quite unique enough to take home, though I am still debating on A Passionate Quest and Novel Romance. A have a thing for purple eyeshadows. Maybe they look a lot more interesting and incredible on the eyes, so I'm hoping someone will post pics of the colors on.

Got my paws on Lingering Kiss. Nice color but I certainly could have passed on it since I have so many other lipsticks like it. It will make a nice addition to my fall lippies though.
