MAC A Novel Romance Collection (Aug 21, 2014)

Its pulling purple in the picture but its a gorgeous wine red. I just threw it on in the car but I love it.

I woke up this morning and drove to the store. Let's just say the person that decided to pave a major road with two schools on it at 9:30 am needs to dragged out and pummeled. However I digress. I get to the store and I enter and the display looks awesome and the window amazing. I get in and the swatchfest begins. The electric cool shadows were amazing. To me they seem smoother this time around. Next was the quads I swatched the purple one and A novel romance. I have to admit that they both watched very well. Apparently they are stepping up the swatch game. Ever since the PL collection. The fluidline pencils were AMAZING. Great pigmentation and smoother than a baby's ass. Now onto my favorite MAC product. The lipsticks. They were excellent I loved the colors. I swatched Good Kisser, Lingering Kiss and Hearts Aflame. Creamy mattes and again great pigmentation. I didn't bother with the blushes or any of the other products. Now on to what I walked out with......

I actually didn't purchase a thing. I decided to wait for the upcoming collections that will feature similar colors. I will definitely pick up a few of the fluidline pencils. They are on par with the UD pencils. They are stunning. However because they are permanent I see no rush to grab them all now. I can't wait for the matte collection and I'm actually surprised at my restraint. I can't pass up a purple or dark red vampy lipstick if I tried and I passed two up today.

Good work by you! You might just be President of Low-Buy! Why am I lusting for GK when I already own Pleasurebomb and Red Balloon? Smdh. I've literally logged off and on Nordstrom all day today.

Maybe because GK is a matte and Red Balloon isn't? That was my reason! On these hot humid days I wear my mattes!

I regret skipping Yield to Love. It's so beautiful but I don't want to buy it on Ebay. Sigh

Everyone looks so lovely with their goodies. I just got LK and the black fluidline pencil to try and i'm waiting for them. I'll def have to go in store when this collection launches and check out the quads though..the swatches look pretty good

[COLOR=800080]I've been so busy trying to settle in and my family just left from visiting so I finally got a chance to sit down and play with the lippies I got from this collection (Please excuse my breakouts[/COLOR] :flower:  [COLOR=800080]) Reckless desire lipglass is gorgeous in person! This picture does it no justice, and it's different from anything in my collection. But I'd say this is a must swatch for purple lovers [/COLOR]  

I thought I was done. I'm passing on the blush, but omg reckless desire is gorgeous. I thought it would be too light for me. I'm gonna have to snag it now

Can I see swatches of the amorous adventure quad? I just ordered it and I'm so excited!

I will do this as soon as I get home tonight around 8PM Eastern time. Hopefully there will be enough natural light to show them well, if not, I have a sun lamp I try to use for "natural" lighting (effect). All of the quads are truly beautiful and in retrospeck, Passionate Quest is prob similar to Taste Temptations and/or Spring Forecast purples quad, but I can never have too many quads or too many purple choices. All of the quads are beautiful, but I think if I had to pick one, Adventure would be it, and it is the most Autumnal of the quads. So you chose wisely!

OOps, someone beat me to the swatches, but I will still try to do a side by side tonight.

I had to return AI it did not show up on me very much. I had high hopes but not enough color for $22.

I was surprised about Animal Instincts. I thought it was much darker because of online pics. I did like it though and might be able to wear it so I haven't ruled it out yet.

I went to see the collection in store last night and ended up getting Myself and Water Willow. Even better, I managed to track down the last Cheeky Bugger. It will be here on Monday!

Thanks to Elegant One for the rec. Erine mentioned early on that it's a couple of shades darker than FE, so I think it will be a better choice on me.

aw yea I called and asked them and they told me that too! hopefully its reliable cause sometimes they give me off dates..stuff goes so fast here right! and its so cool to meet a fellow Trini on here! first time i've really met one here
