i don't think i could ever give up on my pigments. love them all so much! these pigments in this collection will be the first ones that i own in the new shaped jars so perhaps when i have on in my hands i will think differently. but love all my old ones to death. managed to buy about 8 new ones on holiday too!

One of the thing I hate about new jars is that the plastic is different, so they're too light... I always risk to see them on my floor because the plastic has not enough weight to keep it stable... :roll:

Do you use pigments on a regular basis? You might be able to get away with asking for samples of pigments to save cash if that's what you're looking to do!

I have one set of them from Holiday 08, but I just have never had the nerve to try them out. Samples is probably the way to go, because I am definitely trying to save money, and I don't know if I'll ever even use them...

But a loose e/s version of Young Punk sounds

you can buy good sized samples of pigments from http://cherylsshinyeyes.ecrater.com/product.php?pid=2773226 , MAC PIGMENT RARE MAC PIGMENT MAC BLUE MAC GREEN MAC CHERYLS SHINY EYES , MAC PIGMENT FOREST GREEN, LOOSE MINERALS, MAC PIGMENT SAMPLES, 1165CHERYL, MAC PIGMENT 1/2 TSP, FREE , MAC GLITTER,

she is also a member of specktra and she only ever sells authentic pigments. you could email her or pm her maybe to make sure she is getting these new piggies!

I would definitely try out the ones you have to see if you even enjoy working with pigments. Some people love 'em, some people hate 'em, so if you're trying to cut back, this definitely sounds like a way that you could do that. I know that the turquoise one is a big draw for me, but I have to remind myself that I never reach for my pigments, so a sample of it will suffice my craving.

I haven't read the whole thread - but is this only available in Asia and Korea? I went to my local MAC PRO here in Toronto and the release book they have that shows all the collections says that Alice + Olivia is exclusive to Asia and Korea only....

it's released in the states in stores only i believe.
