my ex has a cousin who live in NYC so she's going to pick them up and post them to me. it's the one good thing about staying on good terms with ex boyfriends - you never know when they'll come in handy!

that's great you are still freinds... i only have a couple of exes but both of which i would happily never see ever again.

he was my first 'serious' boyfriend. even though we were terrible as a couple, we still care about each other and whether i like to admit it or not, he's always been there when i've needed him. believe me, there are times when i do hate him, but on the whole he's a good guy and i'm pretty glad we're still friends. [especially when it comes to needing a guinea pig for trying out ideas!]

Oh, OK, yeah that's what I was getting at. I just didn't want anyone to take the amounts listed on the packaging as weights, and then have charged too little for shipping.

Ok, random stupid questions:
1) how it is possible to have swatches before the collection being launched? I am confused! :-s
2) when people are sending to us, poor outside-US people, the pack, would the boxes of products being inside? Or to keep the package less heavy, are they going not to add boxes? You know, I keep boxes for collection :p (stupid, I know)
3) what happenes if sending is more expensive than previsions?
thank you.

I am seriously getting twitchy to see more swatches of the pigments, myself. Preferably with compares to teal, pink opal, etc. as appropriate so we have a good frame of reference.

afaik

1)ppl go to update or get sent items for review
2)it's always in the box. the box doesn't weigh anything. you'll get your item just as if mac ships it to you or you buy it yourself

3)i just usually eat it. but the fact that we're doing weight w/ these i think we should be fine

i need to know how different the colours are too! although the one that i will most likely not get is the one that could be pink opal. all other pigments i think i'll get even if the difference is small. but the pink opal one i actually have a back up of pink opal so there would really be no need for me to have it!

How nice of her! I hate sending things to the UK now. My friend lives in England and wants me to send some American snacks that he can't there (Twinkies, etc,) and it costs me like $25 to ship a $2 box of cakes

PlatinumV, I wouldn't worry about international shipping being too expensive. If the items are sent first class, it's only slightly more expensive than shipping within the US. International shipping only gets expensive when the items are bulky, too heavy to be shipped first class, or are shipped via priority mail or with extra things like insurance, etc.

It is expensive if shipped from Canada, which is why i haven't volounteered to do a cp. I sent a couple of lipsticks to London and it cost me $10CAD and it took the recepient forever to get them

. Who knows how much pigments would cost to ship....Canada post sucks!

^^Yeah...that is just ridiculous. Pigments, lipsticks, etc...are such small, light items, I don't understand why it is so expensive. And when considering UPS & FedEx, the USPS is pretty efficient since they process and deliver on Saturdays. I guess it's yet another area where we're spoiled here in the US.

I've heard around than when sending to Europe, you have to specify something on the box. Like that the package is a gift and that those are colours for painting (painting in the sense of pictures you put on the walls!) because the customs for freight controls they could also last months!!!
I mean: it is so silly to check for 2 months something that is already imported here! (ie: MAC products). I hope we would not have problems in shipping!
Have you ever heard this fact or it is a sort of legend? I don't know, I've never received packages from USA.
