MAC - Alice + Olivia Discussion

Did anyone else get their order for any A+O backordered? I ordered one Partylicious pigment on Tuesday, July 6 around 11 pm. It wasn't until Thursday, July 8 at 8 a.m. that I recieved an email saying my purchase was backordered. I'm going to go back to the ITG thread and re-read what people posted their about backorder emails, but I'm just curious if this happened to anyone else. I'm a little baffled that this happened. If I understood what I read the first time, MAC more than likely wont have one to send me in the two weeks time, correct?

So When I ordered the 3 pigments online, they were in stock except Later which later (lol) then was back ordered bc they were out of stock. So they emailed me saying it would be available in two weeks or I could cancel. I cancelled it today bc I happened to find it at a freestanding store. Its so gorgeous! Now I can't wait to get the other two next week.

I want my stuff! Why have my last two mac packages taken soooo long to get to me??!

LOL yeah I have to be. A girl in a kiosk tried to sell me those darn spa nail/hand things. I let her go through her schpeel and I am sure what she said to me was to get me to buy it as she was showing me the products on my hands.....she said "did you do your makeup yourself?" Anyway so I go up to MAC and I said to the girl as she said hello "I'm not here for Stereo Rose thankfully". She laughed and said how it sold out in an hour and all these people were looking for it! I meant to ask her how many they'd gotten in but forgot. They had a drawer full of everything in this collection but for some reason only 1 pigment was out on display. They must've been using the others on someone.

I was backordered for Later. Sometimes backordered/sold out products do get restocked (Jazzed, for example - some of the TTB products last time around), sometimes they do not (Marine Life never did, I doubt Stereo Rose will).

I was able to find Late. at a freestanding, so I'm going to cancel the one I have on backorder. I wouldn't be surprised if this was one of those items that they do restock.

I just realized that b/c I bought one of the nail polishes, my order most likely was shipped ground (due to flammable hazards or something), which means I probably won't see this package for 3 weeks!

Don't know if this was mentioned or not lolz but if you have the nailpolish called Violet Fire from the Style Warrior collection it is a close dupe for So Rich So Pretty.

When I ordered np from TTB, it didn't take that long to get to me--although it did take longer than usual, is that why?

Looks very pretty and I like the new ava too

. I wish I could've afforded two of the pigments but not with my income as of now. Later looks really pretty and the MUA had it on as well. I have similar shadows to Partylicious though.

We ended up not going out Friday night because I was having hellish cramps. We are going to the symphony Thursday night though and I'll do my fancy eyes for that, for sure.

BTW if anyone has a sample of Later to spare I'd be interested. I of course can buy a sample from whomever. I have the CP's sitting here on my desk and they look so pretty.....but I cant afford a whole jar of the pigment now

For anyone who wants Later. pigment, it is going to be re-released with A Tartan Tale collection on October 15th

This will be available at most MAC counters and locations(if not, all)

I'll send you up a sample! I have mac sample jars already here, and I know I won't be able to use an entire jar! After all, you're the reason I was able to get one!

I'll send samples of the other 2 as well if you'd like.
