I think Expresso blends a little easier but I haven't used the new ones enough to judge completely

But if you're talking color-wise I don't think you need them both and I prob wouldn't have bought Cross-Cultural if I had known it was almost a dead wringer for Expresso... but I do love Mattes

Thanks so much for your swatches!

Yeah, looks like Cross-Cultural is extremely pigmented!!

Beautiful colour, but if it is that close to Espresso, I think I can skip it. Though I am tempted because I too love mattes and good mattes are not so often around. Even Mulled Cider seems to be quite close according to your picture, atleast in the pan. So with those two I should be able to manage without CC...

^ I can't comment on Cross-Cultural but I have found that Banshee works well with Mulled Cider, so I'm skipping CC since MC seems similar enough. I got Banshee with Rebel Rock so I'm glad I've saved so far on this collection. =D Myself l/s is creeping up on me tho, with all the love it's getting here!

I wore this combo today with a touch of peachy pink shimmer from MUFE in the inner corner and it was really, really pretty! It was subdued enough for work, but still made me feel put together and made up. Neutrals with a bit of a pop. Also, I think Banshee qualifies as a "good lustre" there is definitely color payoff and I didn't notice a lot of fallout.

Aw, man! Now some of you are making me want to order some things from this collection. I'm going to the MAC store tomorrow to check out this collection as well as the other ones that I do want to see in person.

Sapnap, I am a NC50 mixed with NW43. I have to mixed all my foundation because I am neither that red nor that yellow, I need both, in mac terms they say I am neutral. Neutral sounds so bland, so I have bland skin, phew.

ahh i think i am somewhere in between too
smiles.gif
so ur not alone! in fact i dont even know wht my MAC colour is coz I dont wear foundation, the MA did try NC 45 mixed with NC 42 and it was ok... a little ghost like in photos imo..

for anyone, is hypnotizing similar to shale? or has this been done before

You're welcome

Mulled Cider is lighter on than in the pan. It's actually a great neutral though. I love warm-toned neutrals for an easy everyday look

I was on the fence about Mulled Cider and Modelette b/c I'm not a fan of Satins but Mulled Cider really impressed me and I am glad I got it!
CC is SUPER pigmented - like I wasn't expecting that LOL! It was actually a bit hard to blend in the crease on me. But I know what you mean about Mattes- I buy every one that the CCO has LOL

chickatthegym, what do you think of All Races shadow? I'm wondering if I should pick it up. maybe it'll look crazy on my coloring. I wasn't impressed when I saw it in person when it came out but I'm thinking of checking it out again.

I may have to check out the eyeshadows in this collection. Right now I have my eye on Showstopper e/s. Can anyone swatch Showstopper and Dark Edge side by side? Thanks.

I'm not sure how the MUFE foundations compare to MAC's shades, but I am NW30 right now (actually prob darker but if I go up in shades, I look "orange" LOL) and I really like All Races. It's prob my fav out of all the new shadows that came out. (I love Hypnotizing too
smiles.gif
It looks really natural on me and I've been into easy neutral looks lately. I didn't think I needed another highlighter but this one actually is different... if warm colors flatter you, I'd recommend it

I definitely think you should get Showstopper b/c the name is very fitting, IMO. You can do so much with it. It's so pigmented and easy to blend. It adds serious drama when you want it too. I would also recommend Banshee and Cross-Cultural (CC if you don't have Espresso, of course because they do look quite similar).

I will do a swatch for ya Glam, but I don't think it will turn out too well since it's dark... I usually do pics in the sunlight. But maybe you can get the general idea

Dark Edge on Left and Show Stopper on right... swatched on NW25/30/Medium Plus MSFN skin inside...I apologize in advance for the poor quality but you can at least get the general idea about color comparisons

Glam, the good news for you is that Dark Edge and Show Stopper are SOOOO similar!!! They do not look that way in the pan, but on the skin they are almost identical on me. Warm colors look best on me... what skintone are you?

Check out my swatches and let me know what you think? I wouldn't have gotten Show Stopper if I had known it was so close to Dark Edge... but then again I wouldn't have gotten Cross-Cultural if I had known it was so close to Expresso LOL

Sorry but I started laughing! That phrase is so silly! "I am in LOVE with myself!" LOL!

Bunny, I thought of you as I went to B2M for Equality today! With you and Abby raving about it, I had to have it! Resort Life lipgelee from Lillyland looks fabulous over it!
