Moisturizing powder sure sounds like an oxymoron to meLiba, did you every get a chance to try out the EL Renutritiv powder (I think that's the correct name) before it was d/c? The finish comes very close to Elude. I just loved the EL powder in "translucent." If I remember correctly, it retailed for over 50 bucks but it was one of the most "moisturizing" powders on the market w/o looking too dry, powdery or matte on the skin. I'm so pleased that Elude gives me the same effect as I ran out of all my EL BU's.

I'm just happy if powder doesn't make my face feel coated and heavy. I used Shu Uemura powder only for years, even though it was kind of a pain, since it was loose. I also had a Shiseido pressed powder way back when too. I guess back then if you wanted a really light colored, finely milled powder, you had to go Japanese.
The funny thing about Elude's finish is that it's actually pretty retro, as far as I'm concerned; the only difference being you don't have to fuss with it to get just the right ratio of coverage to heaviness on the skin like old powders and that it lightens without leaving a white layer over your natural skin tone like the old ones could do.
I do really love the Careblend formula, but it's definitely more casual than Elude. I am definitely the type that has no problem leaving the house without any powder or foundation and just some blush or highlighter slapped on. My moisturizer is fantastic and leaves a really glowing finish on its own, so that sure helps: http://www.rodial.co.uk/product/prescriptions-anti-ageing/glamtox-day-SPF18/201 Costs a pretty penny, but it's pretty impressive- you see what my skin looks like bare!
