i dug up my training book here is the info

Highlight Powder: In The abstract Highlighter: a soft pink base with yellow/gold line and lavender and mid-tone pink dots (satin)

Eye Shadow: Street Art Eye Shadow: graffiti design with 6 shade light brown, white, cool blue, warm orange pastel pink and pastel blue (satin)

Bronzing Powder: Optical Brozer: bronze and neon pink liner design with gold pearlized pigments (satin)

they will all be $38.00 US/ 46.50 CDN

That highlighter sounds kind of nice, although also sounds a bit like Lightscapade. Completely shocked that the palette is priced under $50 and, once again, completely disappointed in Mac for continuing to rip off their Canadian customers.

It might be a little bit warmer due to the gold, though as it says "line," it's well possible that it's just an overspray.

The lines and words/lettering on the e/s definitely looks like an overspray and so does the silver writing. I'm not too keen on the silver, so I don't mind if it wears off fast.

In the US, it's the same (new) price as a quad. Maybe that helps to guess the UK price for the palette. How much do you usually pay for quads?

I hate the fact that in Europe everything costs double the price in the US... its already bad enough in euros they also increase it!

In spain a lipstick is 18 euros (25 dollars!!!!!) like... seriously? is that necessary? 18 euros is already bad compared to 15 bucks.

You can't really convert it as you have to take into account that (a) it is an imported product, thus it will be more expensive, and (b) people in Spain (or other EU countries) will have an EU/RO income. When I moved from the UK to the US, I was excited that everything seemed to be half price, especially as I was paying with my UK savings. (Startbucks $4 as supposed to 4GBP). However, with my US salary now, I find it doesn't make a big difference in percent how much I can spend and what I can get for my bucks. In fact, it is very much the same.

Now it only makes a difference for people who travel from Europe to the US to buy MAC products, that is, if they combine it with a vacation. You probably get the best deal if you are from the UK and use GBP savings to splash a lot of cash at a US MAC during vacation (but beware to customs when traveling back!).

I plan to do exactly that when I'll be in the US next year! HHopefully going to a CCO, too, so that would be an even better deal!

I see your point but i disagree at least in the case of Spain. I am not sure about toehr european countried but the average salary in Spain is 700-1000 euros/month. So having a 18 euro lipstick is quite a stretch to say it's afforable.

maybe this is not the case in France (there for the same job as a waitress u get payed 1200 and in spain 700-800), and other countries that dont "suffer" economically as bas as Greece, Spain, and portugal. I think they should reconsider. MAC is not so big in Spain cos of the prices. For the same damn price u can buy Dior, Chanel....etc. Lancome is cheaper, and so are other high end brands that are also imported. Even the japanese ones!

Off-topic, but

If a product is not big in a certain country, it might just not be the right market. I'm not justifying MAC's price policy, but I simple try to explain some economic principles that apply for imported products. And you also have to take other economic factors into account, e.g. the minimum wage in the US ranges from 5.25 - 8.25$/hour. So if you fall into this low salary bracket, MAC will be out of your reach (and so is healthcare, insurance, etc...). I do, however, see your point. Different price politics are annoying, but luckily there are many other brands.

If in Spain Chanel and Dior is cheaper than MAC, then go for it. I certainly would if it falls in the same price range, especially as the quality is most likely better. I only buy MAC in Europe if I need a back up of a product that is no longer available, otherwise I just pass.

I guess i have a different opinion cos im from spain but, i see your point.

you can buy MAC in India. and its cheaper than in Spain, so they do adapt their prices when its convenient to sell.
