I generally use either a 116 or a Real Techniques Expert Face Brush for contouring. The 116 will pick up a bit less product. (I prefer those kinds of shapes over something like a 109.) If you're still concerned, take some of it off on the back of your hand before applying.

Usually I also prefer the 116 over the 109, you're the first person I talk to that feels the same :)) But with the Taupe I feel like I got to be more precise since it easily can look too muddy.

I just purchased a BU of Natural Wilderness today. It's such a fantastic blending shade. I highly recommend it with Sweet Satisfaction and Uninterrupted pro long wear eyeshadows.

I've been thinking the same! I used it this morning again, but thought that nah, maybe I'm safe with NW and Uninterrupted. I have never BUed e/s intentionally (just gotten duplicates with palettes) but now I'm tempted.

Today I used Breaking Ground CCB over Stormy Pink PP, just in the center of the lid. Hoping this will be a more wearable everyday look with less creasing so I can use it more often.

This collection launched here yesterday, so I went to my counter to check it out on my way home from work.

Just super quick swatches: from L-R AE (top), Stony (bottom), Natural Wilderness (top), Marsh (bottom), Next to Skin, Pink Cult, Breaking Ground I was already pretty certain I wanted NTS and PC - this just confirmed it. I was the first person to swatch Breaking Ground at my counter (at 6pm!) and it is just stunning, couldn't stop looking at it on my wrist Less sure about the shadows, I had thought I'd prefer AE and Stony, but I feel like I have several versions of them both. Not exact dupes, but close enough that I don't need them. The others are far more different to anything I already have, but as my swatches weren't great I went back today for another look.

(Marsh, NW, Uninterrupted) Marsh is now definite, and I'd say NW about 90% sure I'm getting it.

Sounds like their are gonna be A LOT of neutral browns! Can't wait haven't really seen a collection like this before!
The last collection I can recall that had such great staple neutrals was MAC Me Over in 2011. I still use those shadows all the time. I LOVE these kind of collections too!... just makes me wonder why they don't add some of these great everyday shades to the perm lineup. They definitely aren't just trendy and seasonal.

Indeed. Ditto with Pink Cult and Next to Skin (so glad I took another look at it and bought it). I think they should be made permanent as well.
