MAC Artificially Wild Collection (Sept 4, 2014)

I was almost ready to skip this collection, but I've changed my mind. Still skipping Simpsons, though.

Shitake lipstick
Photo lipstick (this one scares me a bit, but I'm going for it anyway)

I also like Excplicit and Spite lipglasses, but I can wait on those. (or maybe I can't haha)

I placed an order yesterday using this and working my way through the SKUs, but I had little hope it would get through, but it apparently did! I got a confirmation email yesterday, and the payment passed on my card today around 10am. I didnt get any tracking number as of yet, but since they got mah money I am confident enough it wont be cancelled

I pre-ordered all four shadows but wouldn't have bought any if they had been a quad.

Same here. I hardly ever order palettes because there is almost always a shade or two that I don't like. Plus, I seem to reach for my singles more than my palettes. I like being able to rummage through my collection and pull together shades I like. I started to depot my shadows to save space then realized I was never touching the ones that were in there, so now I just keep all these single pots in a drawer, even though they take up more room. Call me a little crazy, but I like the way they look in their original packaging and love the sound they make when I'm shuffling through them. It's like a mini treasure hunt.

I depot for kit consolidation. If I were only dealing with my personal stash then I wouldn't do it. I don't mind singles at all...actually prefer them to palettes BUT trying to dig through a bunch of singles while working on clients...not really a good move lol

MAC really is in a league of it's own when it comes to LE stuff. Not only with the huge amount of collections each year, but they sell out so fast.
If I hadn't become more interested in MAC the last year I wouldn't have gotten my hand on a single LE item. While chanel and all the others you can take your time, swatch them and think it over before you buy an LE product (for the most part).

The stalking is kind of fun tho...IF you have the time.

According to MAC though, a collection hasn't officially launched until the collection shows up on the Home page and the emails go out which is usually close to the same time I've noticed. Their site is just really crappily managed from an IT stand point and I think that's why we're always able to snag things so early in the day by going through the site map and things before they officially launch it.

Yeah the emails are a joke lol. I don't think I've ever received an email from MAC about a collection anywhere near the actual release time. THAT'S something they should be able to correct if they really cared to. The back door links...it will hurt others if things sell out quick or before the legit release. But I suppose non-pros feel the same about the rare pro early release (they used to happen almost all of the time but now we're lucky if it happens lol). Hopefully there won't be a huge issue but if the resellers who don't have pro access got their hands on the link who knows.
