MAC - Brunette Blonde Redhead Collection Discussion

Thanks everyone for the broken MSF support! I know it's not the biggest deal in the world, but I have NEVER dropped a piece of makeup before...why does it have to be THIS one?! The worst possible MSF to drop since it is supposed to have the different gradient colours. I'm probably just going to use it loose and hope I don't ever drop that because what a mess that would be!

Is there somewhere that I can buy empty loose powder jars?? I don't use loose powder for anything else, so I don't have any kicking around.

it's not suppose to go bad that quickly according to mac customer service, but most of my mac lipglasses bought in the last 2 years lose the vanilla scent and start to smell funny in less than a year (i just opened my back up sock hop l/g today, and it did not smell like vanilla at all

I think they all vary. I have l/g and l/s that are 20 yo and are still okay and some go bad after a year.

I could just cry.

Awww, I'm so sorry. It is still usable though! So not to worry.

my lipstick and eyeshadow collection are medium sized i'd say so therefore i really don't need anymore. i want both msf's though because i don't have any msf's and these look like they have nice textures to them and pretty colours. and strawberry blonde looks very pretty so i'm not even debating that one!

I say Henna is skippable then if you have something similar.

I think you have a good list then, the 2 MSFs and Strawberry Blonde. Strawberry blonde is going to look so pretty on you!

What to do, what to do...

Rbella, I forgot to tell you I joined the Rbella fanclub on Facebook without being invited. I love your wedding photo!

Redhead is dark enough to use as a blush on me, I'm NC30. And personally, I hate Light Flush because it's more like a highlighter and I'm going to get rid of mine. And I personally adore Brunette MSF much more than Blonde.

Yay! I'm glad I didn't get a Redhead back-up! Because I want the peachy one from Sugar Sweet! Aren't you proud of me? No violence was needed after all to make me not get a Redhead back-up!

It might be usable, but it isn't very pretty anymore! This whole incident makes me want to buy the Redhead MSF. I wanted it anyway, but have been resisting, but now I just want to have ONE with the gradients intact!

I meant to write "Mr Rbella fanclub" - my fingers are faster than my brain sometimes. Well, most of the time, since my brain isn't very fast at all ATM, it seems.

I may friend your hubby - then he can say he's pals with a Swedish girl. He is welcome to lie and say I am a 6' stewardess with D-cups and long blonde hair. And that my name is Inga.

The funny thing is that, aside from the name, I know a girl of Swedish descent that comes very close to that description...

and of course there is no CCO here !!! Come on, why are they only in UK? Anyone wants to join me for the "open CCOs in Europe, dammit !!!!" cause?

Uh, in Canada too, please. Especially in the maritimes...

Well actually, I am 6' and have D cups. I just wear very clever pants, that make me look like I'm pear shaped and 5'7'', and a very clever bra, that makes me look like an A cup.

Thank you so much!

It is really helpful!

Maybe I will buy the Redhead or the Blonde but I am sure not more than one now (it's hard to beat the lemming for MSFs).
yes.gif

edit: I am really not good with resolutions.

The Blonde and Redhead MSF are now definitely back on my list and it is now impossible to remove them.

I really hope you get them soon. Both of them moved in and I really like them, especially the Redhead. Maybe it is a sign to become a Redhead?!

Glad those swatches helped. I cannot for the life of me get anything useful out of a camera except a huge nose.

Maybe I will get the Brunette if you do

I need to see this one in person. Red Devil and Strawberry Blonde are amazing, as is Live and Dye. Never would have considered Live and Dye if it were not for Erine.
Hope it is February soon!

I have MSF Warmed and I really love it. I will test both at the counter, Blonde and Brunette, and must decide for one.
I still want Redhead for sure, but who knows - maybe I will take Blonde and Brunette

Thing is, I am a MAC chipmunk and I tend to collect backups of the products I love and suspect I'll probably never see again, otherwise (e.g. so I have backups of MSFs in particular - like Petticoat [for example], Sharkskin Shadesticks, Solar Bits Pigment Clusters, etc.). I can't help it. I am likely to always get backups of things I adore (the upcoming collections included).

Please tell me I am not the only one who gets "MACups" :p.

You're not!

There is a thread about backups here.

You're definitely not the only one to get back-ups! I have a few that we'll never see again, like Sharkskin, Sea Me, a few of the MSFs (only Petticoat and So Ceylon). I also have Lollipop Lovin as a back-up, the rest I don't really need back-ups of.

I used to always stock up & get 2 or 3 backups, but now I realize I will most likely never have a need for them because I am always finding new things to love & hardly put dents in the things I buy cause I just have SO MUCH. So now, I really try to convince myself I do not need backups anymore

Coconut I am sorry to hear about your blonde MSF. I once dropped a whole jar of dazzleray pigment the first time that I opened it. I was sick about it for weeks. Try taking if back if you can. I bet that they would let you exchange it.
