Ladies, I am so so so excited! I went to a counter wanting to buy a face primer, but my MA was there and well, one thing led to another and she ended up bringing out the whole BBR display set for me to play with the testers (although she was having some fun swatching them herself

She told me that there were very limited stock for this collection, so I placed orders for:
Blow Dry l/s
All's Fair l/s
Strawberry Blonde l/g
Red Devil l/g
Quick Tease l/g
All 3 MSFs

...Which is gonna cost me about SGD$280

I'm uncertain about whether I should add B-Babe and the brushes to my list. And do I really need all 3 MSFs? The money issue is quite worrying because I'm just a poor student.

^^^ dreamer246, which counter is that?

I also don't think you need all 3 MSFs. You can save for upcoming collections.

I do love dark lips and bright lips but I just feel that l/s it a bit of a hassle. I'm those people who once they have their face don't don't really pay that much attention to it and when you have l/s if you want it to look good all day you have to check it once in a while so that it still looks good and when I have lipstick on I befor so paranoid and self consious about how my lips look that I have to be looking on the mirror all the time.

I have to get used to wearing make up again. I forget that it migrates and gets on your teeth, and all that other lovely stuff I started to question everytime I would see a women up in her visor... oh the joys of being a painted lady

B-Babe is so not me. I'm not a fan of frosts or pale/light pinks, and B-Babe is all that.

Is it kinda similar to Angel l/s?

I wanted the face brush (165?), it looked so cute. Hehe. Is it good for contouring?

I went to the Robinsons counter. My MA is there, she's nice and super friendly, plus her blending skills is

. Ok off topic, but I love the way she does her eyes.

BBR is only gonna retail on friday or saturday, but they've already got the display set and some stock. Strangely, the Redhead MSF wasn't sent there.

I don't own any MSFs yet, which of the 3 should I remove from my list? Advice, anyone?

^^ I love the 165. Definitely the best contour brush I've used! I also skipped the Blonde MSF...didn't show up well enough on my skin.

Aww. The 165 is such a cute brush, isn't it? When I heard it was a contour brush I was expecting to see something a little bigger than that. Great to hear that it's works well for contouring!

Blonde looks like it'll be good for highlighting pink blushes though. Brunette was quite pigmented and had a nice rosy-brown/bronze look IMO, but my MA didn't really like it though.

The only things that are really grabbing my attention are Strawberry Blonde and Red Devil lipglasses, the 165 brush and maybe a MSF.

This collection doesn't come out for another week here. *sigh*

Strawberry Blonde and Red Devil are definitely the highlight of this collection, IMO. When we swatched it, even my MA was drooling.

This is why I like Specktra, there's such a huge range of tastes here.

I'm disappointed there's such a huge gap between US and AU releases. I'm annoyed that I can't get swatches up in time to be any relevant to anyone :/

I find if I fill my lips in with a cremestick and then top it with lipstick and NO gloss, it last for a damn long while. I'm very much a low-maintenance makeup girl once I've put it on my face. I don't even like to blot. Actually, I hate it.

If B-Babe is not your style, don't get it. As for the MSFs, don't predecide which two to get. Swatch them all and decide for yourself what you like best and will get the most use out of.

Really? That is good news.
greengrin.gif
Oh well, my stuff is safe coz I've already pre-ordered it at my counter anyhow.
smiles.gif

Samantha - Ok I'd listen to your advice. I guess I was too dizzy with excitement when I saw the products to be thinking straight.

If you're worried about going overboard, take cash in the exact amount of the most you'll allow yourself.
yes.gif
Much as this sounds crazy around here, it IS just makeup, and you CAN live without having all of it.
