I wondered silly things like will I live long enough to wear it all? It's the same way with my Fashion Doll collecting - you feel like you have too much waying you down - it's almost a burden.

It's always good to, simply, slow down, take a deep breath, and simply enjoy the present and all that you have within the present and that, especially, includes all things non-material.

Exactly. You hit the nail on the head.

Thank you!

I started looking at the collections when I found the site on MySpace, I am very vocal when it comes to writing and when I found that MySpace had make up groups I dove in full force. I guess I did that in the wrong group because there was a lot of drama that ensued so I was hestitant in jumping in here, but as I saw the threads monitored and done with respect and no bias, I finally joined without feeling guarded.

The name that always stuck out was Rbella because she had me rolling constantly which is what I needed. This spring a number of things set in motion a depression that kept me inside mostly in bed and away from the functioning world. I lived through the lovely ladies on Specktra and it helped me tremendously, so for that I owe a debt of gratitude.

And for the lovely Mz. Rach, we need you as much as you need us now<3

It has been a frustrating and very hard year but we are no fair weather friends!

I hope this clears up why I have such an attachment and fondness for the regular girlies that make this site so endearing.

Well said, my dear. And thanks!

Yes!

On the other hand...if you already have Twinks e/s and Carbon e/s you do not need 100 Strokes - trust me!
nope.gif

Sketch and 100 Strokes are completely different shades altogether, and well...Trax is just...Trax - truly incomparable!

100 Strokes = Twinks e/s with a light dusting of Carbon e/s over it.

I dare you to say to see a difference - it's a deadringer!

Gosh, we all seem to be feeling a bit "blue" these days. I'm totally with all of you on this. RACH, seriously, your feedback, thoughts, posts, and everything about you is happiness to me. I know that you may not be psyched about makeup right now, but sounds like a lot of us aren't. Glam said it perfectly (and looked perfect whilst saying it) that this is like a family.

Everytime I try to leave I miss the comraderie much more than the talk about makeup. I would be sad if we all only posted on here strictly when we are absolutely loving makeup. Sometimes it is the people who are not that into the hype who help keep everyone grounded, ya know? I know that Blind helped me ALOT with my buying problems. If she hadn't, I be in even more of a makeup funk than I am now, simply b/c I'm already on makeup overload. It's just like TamEva said. You just look at all the stuff you own and think "Sweet Holy Jesus". For me it is like "why did I buy all this crap I'll never use up?"

Anyway, sorry for the long post. I just care about you and want all of us to be happy. I know that SMMY made my day today!!!!!!!!!

Jenn-you are cracking me up!! My husband thinks you are awesome!!

None of the e/s really excite me, from the MSFs I want the warm ones, I'm NC25 and a peach whore, so I was thinking the Redhead and the Brunette but I need to save some money sooooo I'll get only one of those 2 but I can't decide! I have Glissade and Light Flush, I got them because I thought they would look peachy and have some color but none of them did any of these and I'm kind of dissapointed with MSFs lately. What to do?? Get one, or get none???

Also from the l/s I'm going to B2M for one, and I've already decide it's gonna be Blow Dry since I love peachy shades!!!

From lipglasses.......... uhmmmmmmm I don't know!!! I've had really bad experiences with Mac lipglasses all these years. Every single one of those I got turn bad within 6 months or 1 year. With 2 exceptions, 2N which was bad from the beggining ewwwww!! And Moonbathe which is still good , and I'm using it for 2 years now!! Sooo weird! I was thinking to get the Red Devil or the Live and Dye. I really like Red Devil's shade, reminds me of Petit Four which I loved but it was sooo dry and sticky, and created that awful milky ring on my lips!! Live and Dye looks soooo good, reminds me of Moonbathe but I need to save money sooooo I ask you, does it worth it????

I wasn't planning to get any of the brushes but I see every single one of you LOVE the 226!! Should I get it???? I have almondish, not big eyes and I don't own 224, only 217 which doesn't help much when I do smokey eyes. But I do have Stila's #20 which is precise but angle, if anyone is familiar with Stila's, can it be compared to the 226 for the same crease job??

Missing the people on here was the WORST part of not being able to get on here for me when Specktra was down. I missed all our fun so terribly!!!

My problem is I like looking at women too... they are curvy in all the right places where men are just um, no! I had one man I dated *briefly make a trip around the block when I pointed out a hot looking women. I said why are you rounding the block? I was pissed when he said "damn, she isn't there!" Serves you right a$$hole!

My boyfriend likes to point out girls he thinks are attractive, especially when he thinks I'll like them too! Girls are generally much prettier.

It's a pretty entertaining "couple" activity. *giggle*

So for everyone with the blues or merely whiling away the time til the next MAC collection is let loose upon the not so unsuspecting public, I present you with cuddliness therapy:

Can I steal it??? It's got similar colouring to my Lilicat, and they would look adorable together!!

For me, I'd choose the redhead over the 226. I just love the redhead that much (and already own a crapload of blending brushes).

I find this place to be a good distraction when I'm down. I'm a fan of bottling things and hiding them, so it's nice to know I have somewhere to go where people will cheer me up even if they don't know I need it. It's also a huge relief to find people who aren't just around for the good times, because far too many people in the world are like that. It's why I can't leave Specktra at all, even when I've drifted away from the buying. There are so many collections I've not even bothered to go swatch over the past few months, you may well be surprised.

There are good people here.
