MAC - Brunette Blonde Redhead Collection Discussion

Well, after letting the RED DEVIL lipglasses just sit in my make-up case, neglected, I decided to try it over SEE SHEER lipstick. I figured it would be a base that allowed the Red Devil to show, but add somethign to it. I was right. It's like a better RED DEVIL for my NC44. I can finally get some use out of this gloss.

And after trying both several times, I decided I prefer the Blonde MSF to the Brunette one. And that despite the fact that my hair is brown-black and my eyes are nearly black and I have a med-dark olive skin tone. The Brunette ends up slightly muddying if I'm not careful. The Blonde gives some sparkle and looks "healthier". Again, can't use it too heavily because then I look supershiny and that's a silly look for a 49 year old (which is what I'll be come Friday).

So, there ya go. I almost didn't get the Blonde thinking it would be too light, but I like it. And I'm sure as I experiment, I'll figure out how to use the Brunette optimally (and I am using it today, mostly as blush).

Absolutely. I totally find that it works better for me if I stick to the lighter stripes and pretty much stay away or be judicious with the darkest ones.

I swatched The MSF last night and found that blonde looks like Pink Opal Piggie and Redhead looked like Melon piggie. I didn't even think to swatch the piggies but instead was happy with my conclusion and promptly left the store with my Hello Kitty purchase, leaving some stuff behind. Whoops, way to go Ohnna

My counter received 3 Redhead MSFs today, when it's down to the last one my MA called to ask if she should reserve it for me (how sweet

). Anyway when I went down to the counter, I thought that it was very pretty but definitely not pigmented enough to use as a blush on me. After much thought I decided to pass it. Definitely the most difficult decision I've had to make, knowing that it's the last one and also specially reserved for me, but I hope I made the right decision.

I figured I could get a MSF from Sugar Sweet if I really wanted a highlighting product, and give my wallet some time to recover before HK hits stores.

I picked up the little shader brush, and will be going back to get the blending brush. I figured I NEED those.

New combo to try: Redhead MSF over Dollymix blush.

I only swatched it on my hand, but it was hot enough to make my MA drool.

Miss QQ: I hope you reserved the MSF at your counter, these are selling like hotcakes and the stocks are pretty limited to begin with.

And all's fair lipstick is gorgeous!

Shh not listening to the Redhead raves. It's probably too late for me to get it anyway, it's all sold out by now.

All's Fair was originally on my wanted list, but I removed it because it looked like a very average color to me after the excitement wears off.

I'm a lippie whore but didn't get a single lippie from this collection.

I just made the lovliest eye make up with Knight and Pincurl today

Firts I put Blackgrounp p/p to my lid and then Knight on top of that to the whole lid up to the crease and a little past it. Then I blended it with Pincurl so that some of the colour went over the Knigt and then put just a little bit of Gesso for highlight.
I also used Knight and Pincurl blended on my lower lid. It look soo pretty, but sadly I hadn't time to take photos before my classes and now it's too dark to get decent pics.
I also used Redhead MSF with So Ceylon, worked great!
