i think i shall only get the quad from this collection. unless of course they release any new pigments or msf's. but i have enough lip products so don't need any glosses or anything.

What works for me, as far as I can tell, is delaying purchase for as long as possible. I did this with Victorian, which looked weird to me the first couple of times I tried it. But I felt in my heart that it would work, so I finally bought it anyway. Now I'm wondering why I ever had any doubts, because I love it and I get compliments every time I wear it. Let's hear it for delayed gratification.

That works... until it sells out!

My biggest problem is glosses - I hardly ever use them, and they always look the same on me pretty much, and yet I still buy them. At least with eyeshadows I know I'll always be using them and they don't expire so quickly.

ugh, agreed so much. There's gold or copper in frikkin everything. I'm starving for some nice cool-toned shades. IN HIGHLIGHTERS, TOO, MAC. ugh, I bet they'll be golden anyway -_____-

will the info on this collection be released after the update or is that too soon?

I hope you are right, but like last year we might get a cool and a warm-toned collection.

And here's me hoping that they have a Greasepaint Stick the same colour as Beige-ing. Mine is nearly done.

I don't mind warm-tones.. but it has to be quite pale like grand entrance etc.. it's when you start getting the goldmine-type colours that I can't stand it. But I think with a winter collection it'll be best with cool, silvery tones. It reminds me of snow and ice.

Does anyone know when we'll get more information about this collection?

i wear both too, but MAC seem to be on a neutral-to-warm toned kick and we deserve a wee change right?

I can't wait to see the lip products in this collection. I've been dying for some new nude lipstick.

I flock to neutral, cooler colors and don't really like anything too warm for the eyes. I love wearing coraly shades on lips/cheeks but can't stand it on my eyes. Anything too orange like amber lights or too pink like expensive pink, I stay away from. However I love my woodwinked, bronze and goldmine shadows. Am I weird? haha

With Mac is does mean that. However most brands do the opposite - yellow based (nc) skintones are warm and pink based (nw) are cool. But on the other hand when you look at the colour wheel red/pink is warmer than yellow/green, so looking that Mac is logical with the nc and nw.

It's the first time I understood the backwards mac labeling and I went to an art school. shame on me. tbh, I think this is a super-secret plot to get people to buy the wrong shades and then buy more lol. xp

I have the Spring and Summer 2007 Update Books, and I'm sure it'll say in there what it means, want me to have a look?

It's not a pain at all, I'm actually getting ready to put them on ebay atm(The Barbie one just has to sell, and the other is Strange Hybrid on the cover with C Shock etc inside, so I'm hoping that goes too..) so they're right next to me.
It doesn't explain what nc/nw mean, only what finish and coverage each foundation has. Sucks!
