MAC - Cinematics / Colorization Discussion

All I want is the Reel Drama lip bag. I'm actually pretty excited for that. Well, I do keep looking at the teal/camel shadow combo. That matte camel color gets me all the time. We'll see. ETA: Ok, the shadow duo is mine. The Temptalia swatch has convinced me.

Uh oh, Christine's swatches make most of them look really nice. I'm still passing though. There'll be plenty of shadows to get from MAC Me Over.

Does anyone know if the pans in the duos are removable like Pro Pans or are they glued into the palette?

EDIT: I guess I'm asking if "pre-filled" is the equivalent to "glued in"? lol.

[/quote] I've been playing with them for a while and can't get them out. I could be doing it wrong, but I think they're glued in. The case threw me off though because it is a little magnetic, but I just realized that's the closing mechanism. So, in short, I do believe these are glued in.

Thanks for your reply! Yeah, if they were removable, you should just be able to press down on one side of the pan and it would 'lift' out of the palette.

@slick, It would have been so much better if they WERE pro pallettes! Though I have to admit, I like these much better than the suite array duos.

oh definitely! My mind is just bloggling because of the international-only Pro Pans. I am assuming those are the same shades as what we're seeing in the glued in duos? Its lame that the US versions are glued in and not customizable! Though, I don't think MAC has ever made LE Pro Pans before....so I'm thinking that we'll see those shades again at some point....I'm hoping in Pro Pan form because I am interested in 3 of the shades, but not enough to buy a glued in duo version lol.

No, unfortunately not. The international ones have fancy names, whereas the US ones are just called duo 1, 2, etc.

Right. I'm just thinking that the US duos are just nameless versions of the international Pro Pans? I guess I would be really impressed if they were different.....seems like a lot of LE e/s colors for MAC to make just for one collection? Meh, what do I know? lol.

I don't think they are all LE. After swatching them in the store today, I realized that several of them are permanents. Like the fuchsia in 7 looks exactly like stars and rockets, the brown in 5 looks just like either club or blue-brown pigment, and others.

Yeah I think I counted 12 international LE/Repromote Pro Pans. So I wouldn't put it past MAC to throw some perm shades in. You'd think they'd at least label them as so, since I don't think that would go over well with most MAC fans!

Duo 1 is such a pretty end-of-summer color, whereas Duo 8 screams "Hello Fall!" Both are beautiful!
