MAC clear lipgloss users

My clear lip gloss (in a tube with a black cap on the top), has a weird sent. Like it is too old. Is that normal? I got it recent, but on it is a date AC6. That means that it is 3 years old?
When it is new, does it have some kind of smell at all or not?

I bought mine in 2007 and I rarely use it. It doesn't have any weird smell though... it still smells like, well, lipgloss!

I always use mine up so don't get to any 'weird smell' stages. Maybe it was an off one. Take it back for an exchange if it's bothering you.

the clear lipglass has a different smell to it than the tinted lipglasses. its not the usual vanilla scent.

I always use one and I have never had one that smelled bad. Go to the mac and ask them about it and if its expired and if its not used a lot they will exchange it for a new one.

i don't think mine smells.. its almost done so I believe i've had it for a year and a bit.. exchange yours for a new one if you can.

Thank girls for your help, but I got mine in Paris, and I do not have MAC in my contry so i can not return it.
But I love it so much. I will get a new one than
