MAC - Colour Ready Discussion

so i went to my freestanding store today to check out the collection in person. i already have the powder because my friend picked it up for me earlier in the week. so i was looking and i noticed two things - the bitter in the collection looks so much brighter than the bitter i have from the perm collection. i must be crazy or maybe it was the lighting, i don't know. the second thing is show orchid is so pretty in person, more than i thought it would be. it has that awesome blue hot pink look which i love. i did not buy it though cause it's a color i'd only wear rarely and since i know it's perm at the mac pro store i can get it anytime i want.

Does anyone know if I can use the line filler as a base under my eyes for my concealer? The concealer is always moving around there, the skin under my eyes is so thin. So maybe this would help to make it stick? TIA

so the only thing i am getting is the line filler and the powder....i hope the powder its ok even for dry skin......my makeup teacher told me once that that kind of powder is not good for dry skin because it make it even more dry...so that u have to use only small amounts of it..

the line filler is not gonna keep your concealer on any longer. its not a base, it is what its called, a line filler. you concealer will go on smoother, but not stay on any longer than it normally does.

Sorry if this has been asked...but is the Invisible powder the same as the MAC Pro one? I have two of those! Hahaha.

everyone keeps asking, so here is the answer for ya'll.

they are not the same. pro set powder will set anything, even paint sticks, and keep them on longer-great for halloween and setting foundation.

the prep + prime powder controls oil and shine and provides a matte, finished look to the face. it can be used alone or over foundation. it will not set products like paintsticks or keep cream products from transferring. its meant to finish a look.

I know I sound like an idiot for asking this, but what if I want to control oil and shine, have a matte look and set my makeup? Do I just use pro? Or both? Thank you in advance and for the past and for living and breathing, Erine.

You'll want to go with prep + prime for those needs. I used it yesterday and didn't need to touch up with blot like I normally do. I still did cuz it just felt so weird to not have to!

Ok, so I prep and prime, then foundation then which powder? I know this is killing you, but I get so damn confused. Please help a poor soul.

Forget it, Erine. I'm a dumbass. I just realized you meant prep and prime loose powder. Duh. I keep thinking prep and prime is only a primer.

I can't wait to try these! I ordered all three products today. Though I'm lazy so I'll just look all wrinkly during the week and erase the lines on friday nights when I have 'time' to put into my makeup ... teehee

Okay, I may be a moron for asking, but how do I get the powder out from the Prep + Prime Finishing Powder? I'm new to this type of product. Should I take the black insert out? Put holes in it and make a sifter?
Please help ladies! TIA!

So, I wore the Line Filler under the eyes, the Skin Refined Zone with makeup over today for the first time & really liked it. It helped around the eyes not only to firm up the eye area, but to me, it seemed as though it really helped in keeping all the eye makeup in place too.

Makeup went on really smooth over the SRZ! I love that stuff.

So, I got to go to a MAC counter today & tested the powder - that stuff is awesome. I have tried similar products from about every other brand (they all look like baking powder) but MAC's really seems the best. Its much silkier, smoother & the soft diffused look on the skin is better. I didn't like MUFE HD.

The MA said you can use it under makeup, without makeup for a soft focus natural look, or over makeup. I ordered it online when I got home because they were so busy. So I'm hoping that my skin will love it as much as I did on my hand!
