the refined zone isn't a true primer like the prep+prime skin or protect. those are the only 2 true primers. the others won't keep your makeup on like those two do. the new products each serve different purposes.

srz-fill in pores to make them look smaller. they won't be smaller-you can't change the size of your pores. also exfoliates over time. it also helps control oil and shine.

line filler-as the name implies, it fills in lines.

powder-finishes the makeup and provides a diffused look. also controls shine.

But the line filler, it might be me being a dumb@$$ but when I went to put my studio sculpt concealer on top it kind of went on uneven almost clumpy even. Am I just stupid or is it the type of concealer that doesn't work with it? I don't know it seemed like it worked pretty well after awhile during my shift today but that was when I really had to kind of rub off the concealer so it didn't look so clumpy. I used a small amount so yeah, any help and tips would be greatly appreciated!

the trainers at update were talking about this. you have to use a teeny amount of line filler. too much and your concealer, especially studio sculpt, will ball up or crack.

Thanks ya'll for your help! I'm going to keep working with this. Maybe I will let it sit alil longer before I put my concealer on and maybe use a little less. I didn't use too much today and it went well but then I didn't put concealer on, just some foundation around that area so yeah I'll play with this some more! Thanks again!

I think I'm going to have to break down and buy the powder. I currently use Light-medium mineralized natural over my nw20 SS but the colour is different enough that it looks patchy or cakey, even if applied with a really light hand.

I was really excited to try the line filler but when i got ready to apply it, i realized i don't really have any pronounced wrinkles yet
lol.gif
I then figured it would work under my eyes to even out the mini bumps I have, but it didn't do much to help them, so this product i think is good, but you need to have lines to fill

not just the back of my hand like i tested at the store

I bought the powder and the Refined Zone, and got a sample of the Line Filler. I am in LOVE with the powder. I was skeptical because it's transparent and usually I want full coverage everything which I'm kinda over. I buff it into my skin with the 187 after applying SFF and it's gorgeous. The Refined Zone is okay...I personally will be sticking to my Smashbox Anti-Shine. But I'll keep the Refined Zone around for when I'm having bouts with dry skin once in a great while. As for the line filler...I won't be buying it. Not to say that it won't work because it does (tried it on the side of my hand and it was line free). I just don't have lines that need filling. I do have lines on my undereye area but I've had those since I was born and don't want to or feel the need to cover them. Sooooo...no line filler for me. I'm SO glad that the powder is perm though!
