I like that MAC brought these lippies back but where the heck is prince noir. i know alot of people would be happy to see this lippie being made permnant.
Omg, it would make my year if Prince Noir became permanent!
They totally neglected vampy colors and purples :crybaby:
:agree:
I find it odd that colours like Sushi Kiss made the cut ahead of Party Parrot, Prince Noir, Moxie, Watch me Simmer, Scarlet Ibis, Quick Sizzle and so many others. I am happy that MAC is listening to it's customers (if their choices were based on demand) and just increasing their range generally, but find it hard to understand their selection...except for Pink Pigeon which was in hot demand. I've never even heard of Giddy for example and there are hardly any online swatches...but it does look nice so I am all for it. Anywho, I hope they add more, it would be great to see more comebacks.
I agree with all of the above lipsticks you named!! I personally would love to not have to rration Scarlet Ibis. I'm even too afraid to use my Moxie. Please bring these back too, MAC!!

It's got to be due in part to the cost of the pigments. Certain red and blue pigments are the most expensive raw materials out there, even in the synthetic, non-natural mineral versions. Colors that use a lot of crimson, scarlet lake, cerulean blue, etc. are going to be more expensive to produce than colors that have a lot of yellow mixed into them. Quick Sizzle, Scarlet Ibis, Prince Noir, etc. all use those sorts of pigments liberally so I'm not surprised they haven't been brought back as perm (yet). When the MAC lipstick prices go up enough across the entire range, it might be more possible to see colors like that come around a little more often, subsidized by popular colors that are also cheaper to produce. If there's one that I think will come back one day, either as a LE repromote or more, it'll be Scarlet Ibis or maybe Party Parrot.

Sushi Kiss, though, is amazing. I love it. Wore it out last night, as a matter of fact. It's one of the best corals to wear in the evening in low light situations…makes your lips look huge and brilliantly glowing. I use my SK all the time and didn't BU it when it first came out, so I am very happy about the perm status.

One other thing - all those peachy coral orange colors are super fashionable right now, very runway forward, so MAC is making a good choice to bring so many of them into the perm line, where most other makeup companies have been a little scared to commit all the way and only offer maybe one or two. Look through current issues of Vanity Fair, for example - all the movie stars are being photographed with pale orange corals and apricots on the lips. It's a basic trend that's going to be around for at least a few years…it's seriously going very mainstream.

So true. Moxie was even in by request. At least bring it back. All the all about orange colors, I know they're on trend, but giddy, shy shine, etc. no one know about them. Plus mac has a lot of those shades. If you're going to expand to range, EXPAND by pulling in different colors, not a bunch of orange and then a bunch of light pinks.

I'd be happy if they made Quite Cute, original Lavender Whip, Innocence Beware, Raspberry Swirl, Secret Lover, Bubblegum, Playtime and some of the Dazzle lipsticks permanent...also Cinestyle Cremesheen Glass.

I think the only one I'll B2M for is Pink Pigeon. I missed out on it both times, because I couldn't be bothered to fight for it online as I knew it would sell out instantly.

I'm not really interested in anything else as I already B2M'd for Kinda Sexy and I own Razzledazzler x2 (accidental BU), Flamingo and Sweet & Sour.

I want Razzledazzler, Sweet and Sour and Sushi Kiss for sure. I have enough stuff to B2M for 2 of them, so that's good news!

I wish my local store would B2M for more than just lipsticks. I have enough for about 20 lipsticks, with more to depot and nothing I want!

....yes, those would be nice additions to the perm line too!

More Cremesheens would indeed be awesome

I'd love darker lipsticks to be added.. and some berry tones.

I really wish Rebel looked on me like it looks on Temptalia, but it just doesn't - and nothing I do makes it that way. I can't seem to find anything that pulls that kind of colour on me.

Thank you for this information Liba- you're an encyclopedia! The cost factor makes alot of sense. I truly believe Party Parrot will return- until then I have 3 to get through

I am going to have to try my Sushi Kiss again - I felt like a mandarin when I tried it on briefly but I'd love to make it work for me. It's Autumn (Fall) here so I might just look insane but it's never stopped me before!

This orange trend is interesting, I have a few pinky oranges and oranges but I don't use them alot. Betty Bright is quite orangey/coral on me- now that's one that I expected to come back given the trend!!

I think we just want a MAC Cult of Specktra's Favourites Collection

I would have liked some more diversity too- and I agree Moxie deserves to be Perm.

I know MAC has some great staples, but so many of their LE colours are just amazing and I think alot of the Perm range is outdated. MAC is the only brand that has not drastically updated their regular lipsticks (I haven't noticed changes in formula or packaging in my ten years or so of buying) - all other brands update ranges and with those updates come totally new shades...but then again I am sure alot of people are happy their favourites are always there.

I wish MAC would bring back a colour a month or something (even just mass produced for that one month) for all the die hard fans. I think we need to protest!

Lol, those 3 or so bloggers that reviewed it in it's heyday must have really campaigned hard

Oh, rationing sucks -I skipped Scarlet Ibis but the more swatches I see the more I think it would be a colour I'd wear. I snagged Moxie on evilbay (3 of them) so I'm not worried about running out, but I figure we should feel our best at all times so to heck with it I will just wear my faves and I have hoarded so many more that it takes forever to finish anyways lol! I do also hoard back ups, hence my lack of distress!

I kind of like that some things stick around for decades. Sweetie, Twig, Plumful. Also, Moxie has had many close ones, Red Baloon, Pleasure Bomb, Love Goddess. They are all so so close IMO. If you want SI try Mangrove. They are only a hair different.

I haven't tried Sweetie or Twig but I love Plumful and I think it's a great perm colour to have.

I admit I'd like to see MAC revamp their perm l/s line, but I fear they'd get rid of the favourites instead of the ones no one goes for. Then again, a lot of the popular favourites, I wouldn't even take a 2nd glance at - so who knows!
