MAC - Dazzleglass Discussion

Re: the whole more volume / less product debate . . .

Is it not possible that one would probably use substantially less dazzleglass than one would regular lipglass? I suspect that they probably last about the same, just that the dazzleglass formula requires less for a greater effect. Of course, this could just be me not wanting to believe that MAC has raped my wallet even more than usual.

It may look like more, but honestly it isn't. A gram is a gram is a gram. The amount of mass you are getting with both is the same, no matter how the molecules are arranged.

Ounce is mass. For some reason I was thinking it was stated in ounces. I think what I said would have been right if the unit of measure was actually OUNCE. And then again, with liquids, densities are much different in effect than opposed to a marshmallow a (solid), because you can spread it out more? Dunno, I can't think. >.<

Ouch, midterms are not nice to me. My brain is fried. SMMY, you are right.

Yeah, there is way less dazzleglass than lipglass.

Now, the only thing left to do is waiting to finish one of the dazzleglasses and see how much water it holds compare to an empty lipglass tube

yes, this is how a makeup-obsessed engineer approaches this question, and yes, you can call me nerd...

And now, all three of you have just calculated what I expected and further solidified my plan to wait until these arrive at the CCOs, thus saving me valuable dollars for the other highly anticipated collections of the summer.

Audrey I am loving pleasure principal as well.

I got suckered into buying comet blue today as the MA said that it was the last one left. So being a crazy MAC shopper I though "ONLY ONE LEFT....I HAVE TO HAVE IT!!!" Now I am having some buyers remorse but hopefully I can make it work.

If you can figure out what to do with Comet Blue that doesn't involve red or bright pink lips, please share. I am at a loss. I don't own any red or dark pink anything, and I don't want to have to buy another product to make Comet Blue work for me. I'd rather exchange it for something I will wear more often. It's a shame cause it is so pretty in the tube. I need to quit being such a wimp, and start wearing some dang red lipstick already!

I just went to mac today to give the dazzleglasses a second chance. Yep, im hooked. I think i tried it on the wrong way (on bare lips and with too much at once. I tried them on today with a thin layer of lipstick underneath. My favs are glam o.d and love alert. Ugh, so gorgeous!

I also got the last comet blue and the last ms fizz. I left the store with a mix of miss fizz and comet blue on. HOT HOT HOT! So shiny and multidimensional. The ma's could not stop gushing!

Aw I'm sorry Comet Blue isn't working out for you! Def exchange it for one you'll use more often if you don't find use for it! I'm wearing it over Lollipop Loving today, let me try and take a picture. I dunno how well the glitters will show up but I have it packed on lol

Edit: Here we go! Please excuse my chapped lips!! I have that glitter packeddd, but it was hard to capture on film. This is with no flash. =D

Okay, I haven't read all the pages of this thread yet, but . . .

If you have naturally pigmented pink lips (like moi
smiles.gif
) Ms. Fizz looks HOT HOT HOT HOT over a totally bare lip.
drools.gif
It almost makes me want to wear this stuff on a daily basis. Too bad the glitter usually ends up in my beard . . . hmmm . . .

I think Ms Fizz is sooooo gorgeous! I have just been wearing some chapstick and then Ms Fizz over it and I have gotten so many compliments when I went out on Thursday night after work. I wish I could pull it off all of the time.

I got funtabulous and it's pure love. It doesn't come out a purple purple but a rather nice light wearable color. Its not gritty at all which i was afraid of. I want more of these.

Re: Dazzleglass Discussion

Okay.

I LOVE DAZZLEGLASSES.
TO HELL WITH THE LESS AMOUNT.
This is like.. lipglass on CRACK.
It's gorgeous, it's SHINY, I love the sticky texture, it's thick.. I just love it. It's amazing, it beautiful.

I got Steppin' Out, Ms. Fizz, and Comet Blue.
Steppin' Out is the most gorgeous pink. It's my favorite of the 3. It's I think.. the one with the most glitter too.
smiles.gif

Ms. Fizz just totally owns Totally It by Fafi. It's got the blue pearl... and ugh, it's beautiful.
And Comet Blue is beautiful over reds and pinks.

I wish I had more money. I would get so many more of Steppin' Out!

Thanks, guys! You have convinced me I need Ms Fizz!

And because I am still unsure about the release date here, I have just ordered Ms Fizz and Like Venus at the counter which has already shipped Heatherette to me. They will ship the Dazzleglasses at once if they arrive. So I can be sure to get them!

Ms. Fizz is amazing. It's so beautiful, it's a gorgeous fuchsia and the blue pearl is so shiny. When I have Dazzleglass on, I keep moving around in front of the mirror with a light or the sun on me just to see the sparkles change!

And the really really awesome thing about these lipglosses is not only HOW shimmery they are, but they are SHINY. I am truly in love with these. I sent MAC an email telling them that these should be made permanent! These things are sex in a bottle.

If you girls love them like I do, please send an email and get these part of the permanent line!

Re: Dazzleglass Discussion

i want Comet blue but i am not sure if it will work so i did a little test since i have reflect blue. i used a clear gloss and layed it over vgv and masque. i have to say it turned masque slightly mauve (i looked dead with glitter on-very flattering
tong.gif
) but i liked it over vgv though.

here is a pic outside no flash on my nc 25 hand

if you need more pictures dont hesitate to ask.
i still haven't decided i really liked the sparkly effect although it's only obvious in live the glitter fades on photos.

this is masque i know it's blurry but it's the only one showing the glitter

Re: Dazzleglass Discussion

I love this stuff so much! My lips are super dry, so I'm constantly applying lip conditioner and lipglass during the day.

I put dazzleglass on at 2:30 yesterday (the end of my lunch) and it stayed on until 7:30 when I ate dinner. And, I drink bottled water all day at work - so it even lasted through that! A tube of dazzleglass will last me so much longer than lipglass, just because I won't have to reapply so often!

And, besides, they are absolutely gorgeous!

I've already sent an email to MAC begging that they make them perm.

Re: Dazzleglass Discussion

Just thought I'd let you girls know . . .

I tried out a VERY heavy application of Comet Blue over Myth, and the blue shows up beautifully. Not as crazy bright as in the tube, but a very cool, icy, powder blue on the lips (almost the exact same color as my eyes!). I'll definitely use it in my next drag FOTD.

I agree, these should DEFINITELY be made permanent!
