the lipsticks DO look gritty but I don't always trust MAC's product pictures. They may apply smoothly. But even then, I may not be interested in these. I really wonder how they will look on the lips. As for the colours, if these are true to real life, none are really speaking to me..maybe one.
Now with pictures, I think I still am able to skip this

I still find they look interesting and, really, I know I'm going to want to see any new finish in person. That said, I don't think I'm going to feel the need to go crazy on this one. Right now planning on:
Boys Go Crazy d/g (although I want to see how close it is to Date Night)

To me MAC lipstick pics usually look off, or at least dull. I'll look forward to real swatches. From what I can tell, I will be buying anywhere from 4-8 lipsticks.

The photos of the lipsticks seems like the lipsticks look gritty like Erin said. I do want to try the Dazzle formula though. If anyone can talk me out of buying the lipsticks, feel free to do so now.

Have to agree with you there. I suspect that they just take a single image of a lipstick and adjust the colour in Photoshop or Quark, rather than wasting time photographing every lipstick. Much faster, but it's harder to get an exact match. I remember first seeing photos from the Spring Colour Forecast and thinking the lipsticks weren't that exciting. Then I saw them in person and my wallet still hasn't forgiven me.

I know they do this for most swatch images on the site once you look at several you see the textures are the same and they just adjust the colour overlay... No doubt why their swat hes are so godawful & off.

I'm not so concerned about the colors of the promo images. The texture just *looks* awful!

The lipstick colors don't really excite me, but I plan to at least try them out to see how they wear and how they look in person. I often find that photos don't do them justice. I'm honestly not that worried about grit. Everyone thought Superglass would feel gritty, and it was just fine.

I have Sweet Thing l/s which has tiny silver glitters in it so I'm wondering if the l/s will be like that?
