The thing that is killing me is the "mineralize" part. For example, if Sea and Sky is similar to Freshwater, I technically don't need it, but Freshwater isn't mineralized? See what I mean?

Since they are mineralized, they won't have much of a vivid bright color payoff as opposed to a normal shadow huh? Unless they are applied wet perhaps? I honestly may pass this up b/c I hardly use my Mi'Lady from the 2007 Holiday collection. I think I may have used it ONCE. :\

Right. I know what you mean about color payoff, and honestly, I'd be ok with that. Lighter colors are fine with me since I don't really have that many in my collection. I had Mi'Lady and returned it because the colors didn't work for me, but I have Ether and Silversmith and use them often. I think this is going to be one of those collections I have to see in person first. I think it is either really going to wow me or really disappoint. I am so anxious

Yeah its nice to have a wide range of colors. I am all for lighter colors as well but honestly, Starflash may have what I need. It is highly unlikely that I will reach out for an MES than my shadow palettes. lol

My boss is gone on vacation so only a reasonable specktralite would troll on this forum and reply to every message. So here I am again.

I am trying real hard to not imagine the credit card bill that is coming in August. What MAC is doing should be a crime. Sonic Chic (get outta of here, you're talking 3 of em), New View (Skinfinish and highlighter
th_e2cloud9.gif
,) Colour Forms (mini 187),
thud.gif
, ElectroFlash (don't need but whatev, nude pink lippies
drools.gif
) StarFlash (new e/s and a 15 palette to put the crap in from switching out my other colors
th_DANCE.gif
), Cult of Cherry (quad filled with dupes like GlamYourUS said but Neezer made look so prettttttty, and red lipglass, forget about it).

Jesus takes the wheel.

Re: Electroflash Discussion

I am very excited over this collection! Definately going to buy everything, I am not going to miss a single pc,whether or not I will be using it. I LOVE MES

I barely touch my MES from Antiquitease, only use 1x for Silversmith. As for the rest, I had only tried them on my lids at home, never wear them out before. I maybe the odd one out but I feel that the Antiquitease MES is glittery esp. the purple half of Mi Lady. I have high hopes by Mi Lady purple but was disappointed when I see it IRL, so hopefully Odd Couple will be the purple I've been looking for. The rest of the Antiquitease MES are soft and nice but the color is not unique imo. I am still very very very.........much in love with my Flashtronic set. Still using my Mercurial & Ether faithfully for a few times a week. IMO the MES from Flashtronic got unique colors and nice shimmers and glitters, its love at first sight and swatch. No fallout issue for me at all.

And judging from the pics from the swatch thread, I dont think the "Mercurial" portion from Odd Couple looks like Mercurial from Flashtronic at all. The new one has more lavender color while the real Mercurial had a big tint of taupe in it.

Audrey,I was thinking the same thing lol. Some these may be dupes for shadows already out,but the shadows aren't mineralized so that makes all the difference for me!

Sigh, if only mac were to make a palette friendly mes. I know they are domed and all, but i am sure they could come up with something. I would def reach for my mes more if they were all in one place!

Lol, that's totally what I was thinking.

Re: Electroflash Discussion

I really really hope that the Purple side of Mi'lady can be a dupe of Odd Couple. Because I don't think I should get it, as I have Parfait Amour already also.

So...
that leaves me with...
Play On Plums
Sonic Vibe
Major Minor

Much as I would like Fast Thrill.. I already have light pinks like Melrose Mood and now that California Dreaming lipstick... so I honestly don't need another light pink, even if they look different you know?

Re: Electroflash Discussion

I've been lusting after Parfait Amour for awhile, so if half of the Odd Couple is in fact PA, I will probably go with PA instead. Depottable, palette-able, hopefully less crumble, and (presumably) better pay-off.

Re: Electroflash Discussion

Yeah, no Odd Couple for me. I have Mi'lady (which I barely reach for) and Parfait Amour. I'm really cutting down my list because July is going to HURT.

3 collections I want so much from. AND the mineralize blushes are going to be $21. Yeah...

I've decided I'm gonna skip this collection. I don't think MES are going to be my thing, and with all the great collections coming up (Manish Arora, Cult of Cherry, Overrich
drools.gif
) I'd rather save more money for them. And maybe even buy a perm. item for once!

I just wanted to mention that Parfait Amour has disappointing colour pay off.

At first I was like, "eh" towards these MES, but then when the pictures came out I got excited...now I'm back to "eh".

I only have one MES, the uber-disappointing Family Silver from last Holiday season, and I've maybe used it twice? I can't imagine I'd use any of these ones any more than that...so I'll have to "Shop My Stash" (LOOOVE that thread!) and try to get some usage out of Family Silver and I'm pretty sure I'll be passing on this collection.

...More $$$ for Cult of Cherry and these designer collaborations!! Woo!
