Let's hope they will not be that expensive. If that price is really correct, I think a lot of people will be hesitant to buy from this collection, maybe not the Skinfishes, but the e/s.

(I just saw two days ago that Chanel raised their prices again. Weird thing is, it's 1 Euro at Douglas but only 50 Cent at Pieper.

But I do find Chanel prices differ in places (Karstadt, Douglas, Chanel counter...).

Back to topic: I think if I don't have so many e/s already, I might not going to back down because of the pricing... but since it's hard for me to find something really unique or something that I really want but not have... hmm...

I don't think so - I just checked the prices of the mega metals (22€) and the pro longwear e/s (23€). I think you can see increase there, but 27€?! That's just insane.

Maybe because it's a new formula?

In any case, MAC wants to make the move from mid-range to high end cosmetics, thus the aggressive price hike. It won't be long that MAC will be more expensive than Chanel.

I think it would be very sad if MAC becomes as expensive as the high end lines! That is the draw for me of MAC, that it is good quality (most of the time) and yet, affordable, as well as the great colors. It is very disappointing. They don't seem to care about their consumers anymore, at all.

By the way, do you think the ED collection will be at pro stores end of March but regular and other stores (like my Macy's MAC) April 5?

This is why I love MAC. It's not overly expensive, but it's also not too cheap. It makes me feel good that I can afford to treat myself to such amazing cosmetics. Mind you, I still love my drugstore brands as well. If MAC becomes too expensive, I will just have to stick with my drugstore brands.

It is certainly the plan as MAC is almost there, price-wise I mean.

^ Well thankfully my coll is large enough to only buy some refills and special items now and then, i can`t afford all these 20 something es, i would rather buy permanent refills or some great palettes ( like Naked)

Saw these today and they are very nice. I was hoping Rich Core would work for me but I think it is too dark.

Blue Orbit is AMAZING, I am so excited to get my hands on it.

Sweet Heat is very pretty and will look great in the summer with little makeup.

My sweet SA but the two away for me.

I find that the current audience for Mac is younger than other high end brands (although those brands are increasingly skewing their marketing and launches towards a younger audience), so raising their prices could be risky. That said, with other brands taking over in terms of colour selection and other areas where they used to dominate, they obviously have to make some kind of move.

As far as these, the price will be an issue for me. They look pretty, but there are a lot of pretty shades out there and I want to make sure that I really love the formula.

The price hike does seem to have little effect on how fast products sell out. It's truly amazing.

I don't think they will change their marketing, e.g. I can't foresee that they will do print ads, etc. But they certainly will built on their reputation and count on existing MAC addicts.

I like the darkest skinfinish.. are they easy to sheer out? I'm still thinking on which one I should take.. I'm NC20 but I'll probably use it only during the summer and I can be really tan!

I saw this today and was only thinking I would buy 1 or 2 items but I ended up with almost everything lol it's the formula that got me! super duper pigmented..... it's like what we wanted in those mega metals without the creasing. I ended up with 2 of the EDSF and 6 eyeshadows :shock: I have swatches let me just upload them

as soon as they get checked out. i can post swatches. i have all the info on all the collections for the 5th launch i will have all the info for the summer ones on the 19th im the products specialist so i get special training on all the new collections
