I tried to use Superb today, for the first time. I could barely get any on the brushes i used. Clearly i need a more appropriate brush.

What brush does MAC recommend for it? If it's somewhere back in the thread, i'm not sure how to search it here... Thanx1

The limited edition 128 Split Fibre Cheek Brush is the one that they promoted with this collection. It seems that most that have it are liking it for these EDSF. It's still available at MAC's website if you were interested in trying it. I use that one (for cheek application as a highlighter) and my 188 Duo Fibre Face Brush (if I'm going for an all over glow with the product). HTH

I know i'm a little behind the times on this... but I just received an EDSF as a gift a few weeks ago and have not played with it out of fear of not knowing how to use it properly! I'd love some recommendations for possible brushes to use to apply it and possibly some techniques if someone is willing to share (or a page reference for where I can look) :) I tried to scroll the pages for answers, but I dont think i'll be able to read all 78 pgs :( Any help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED! :D
hmmm i think one of the most important things is don't use a dirty brush on these, cuz they seep up the oils and form a skin over the product which would need to be scraped off.

other than that, use a dense brush...i found the fluffier brushes don't really pick up much product, so you could use a dense brush to apply and a fluffier one to blend out...or get the 128...

I got Glorify today! It was still available in Cologne and i was able to get 10% off with my douglas card:) I haven't gotten any of the shadows or edsf before, but i really liked Glorify when i swatched it and i think it will give me a nice golden bronzy glow. I'm not sad about missing the others because i have other highlighters that i love and in the summer i don't always need a highlighter.

I went to MAC Liège today and saw the entire ED collection live for the first time. I got to swatch Glorify, which I regretted not getting. I liked the colour blended out, but way too shimmery for me. Glad to get that out of my head. Glad you like it Pinkdollface. You're younger, I'm sure it will look good on you.

I'm beginning to think the extra dim stuff is too much of a hassle. LOL
lol
to be honest, i don't usually have too much trouble with products getting that funny coating from 'double-dipping', but i didn't want to take a chance with the edsf if they're so sensitive! with the shadows i'm less worried, because i usually use clean brushes anyway, but i don't wash my face brushes every day...

have you tried any new combos lately with havana?

Do you clean your eye brushes everyday with brush cleaner? I also clean my face brushes after every use with brush cleaner. I put the brush cleaner in a bottel with a spray pump and that way it's easy to spray over a bigger brush like a face brush. I think if i do that my edsf will be fine.

no, probably only once a week, with olive oil soap or baby shampoo. however i have several brushes i can use to apply shadow, i only purchased two of the EDES, and i don't wear them more than once a week, so it hasn't posed a problem yet.

i think if you're cleaning your brushes everyday, they're quite likely to be fine...and i assume it also depends on how oily one's skin is in the first place?

i had no idea these products were so sensitive about oils and such. although remember i did mess up my superb by using a wet brush with it because i thought it would work like a normal msf! doh!

LOL...no similar story, though i didn't get young venus. i did a bit of shopping my stash, in terms of eyeshadow anyway, before hey sailor came out. i was reminding myself of the mineralize shadows i have, so that i don't try to convince myself i don't have any when HC comes out! ;)

My skin is very oily in the t-zone, so maybe that's why i feel it's necessary to clean my brushes everyday.
