MAC First Timer

Well gals, as I'm new to MAC and just bought Blushpowder: Foolish Me, Blushcreme: Sweet William and Prep+Prime, but was totally no ideas when it comes to eyeshadow and pigments...

So, I need you gals to recommend the "hot" buy for:

Pigments (especially)
Eyeshadow
Fluidline
Shadesticks
Lipsticks
Lipglass
Blushers
Paints
Eyekohl

Pigments: Pink Opal, sooo pretty with a pink duochrome
Eyeshadow: gosh there are soooo many but I think Satin Taupe looks great on everyone
Fluidline: Blacktrack
Shadesticks: I'm not a big fan of these, so I'm no help here!

Lipsticks:
Lipglass: Viva Glam V
Blushers: Dollymix
Paints: Bare Canvas/Base Light/Stilife
Eyekohl: Phone Number/Smolder/Buried Treasure

Eyeshadow: way too many to list...what kind of look are you going for? neutral or bright colors?

Lipglass: C-Thru, Viva Glam V, Enchantress
Blushers: Sunbasque, Peachy Keen
Paints: Stillife, Bare Canvas

Pigments: Violet, Golden Olive, Old Gold, Melon (LE), Deckchair (LE), Coco (LE), Pink Bronze, White Gold, Tan, Kelly Green!

For the LE ones, there are still samples you can get either here or eBay. I think they're definitely worth getting a sample of!

Re: eyeshadows, same q's as makeup_junkie, it'd help if we know what type of look you're going for.

I don't have much of the other lines, but I'm loving my Violet Underground eyekhol, also LE w/ Culturebloom but I think there may be some around as I don't think many people picked this up with the other gorgeous items in the collection.

Here is what I love...

Pigments: Deckchair (try and find it on ebay, so worth it), Vanilla, Pink Opal, Apricot Pink, Golden Olive
Eyeshadows: My basic must haves include - Shroom, Naked Lunch, Sumptuous Olive, Satin Taupe, All that Glitters, Expensive Pink, Sprout, Juxt, Print, Swish, Phloof!, Seedy Pearl
Fluidline - I have yet to try them, so I can't help you there
Shadesticks - I ony have 4, but they're great - Sea Me, Gracious Me, Beige-ing, Taupographic
Lipsticks - I love Sweetie, Honey Flower, Brave
Lipglass - VGV, Wonderstruck lustreglass
Blush - Tenderling, Well Dressed, Fleurpower
Paints - Bare Canvas
Eye kohl - I only have Powerpoints, and I love them - Engraved and Stubborn Brown

It's black and glittery... like a dark sky with lots of stars... hope you gals get what I mean...

I went my first time to MAC for funky bright eyeshadows and ended up with....

*Shimmermoss ( a tealish color)
*freshwater ( very blue)
*swish ( extra shiney pink)
*beautiful iris ( a very soft light violet, * prolly need a shade stick or paint to make it show up better though)
*swimming ( shimmery green, not too bright but very pretty)
*Liesuretime*LE* (bright pearly purplish color) <~~ what a discription
and
*Chrome (matte yellow)

i was very happy with my purchase

and for pigments.... ( GOD i love them and only have three)

i bought
*Rose
*Coco ( ithink thats LE too)
and
*Vanilla <~~~~ thats a great highlighter!!!!!!!!!

Hope that helps.. I am and was kinda in the same boat.. but we have a long ways to go

Pigments - deckchair!!!! i love it

i also like teal & naked
Eyeshadow - my faves are antiqued, in living pink (LE) or expensive pink, shimmermoss!!, juxt for green, woodwinked
Fluidline - not a fan personally
Shadesticks - i only use beige-ing. i have sea me and lucky jade but i rarely use them
Lipsticks - for pinky pink, lovelorn is perfect! pink cabana from sundressing is another fave. my red is dubonnet <3
Lipglass - flowerosophy. its an LE but its really the only one i like XD
Blushers - sweet william blushcreme, springsheen
Paints - never tried them, i hate creamy eye stuff
Eyekohl - i only have a black, its the engraved powerpoint, but i love it

Pigments: Get samples & play around, Much cheaper & you can figure out what you like
Eyeshadow: Love All that Glitters, Sable, Brule, Woodwinked, Retrospeckt, Sumpteous Olive(sp) and Vex as great neutrals. Some great brights are Blues: Freshwater, Shimmermoss Greens: Juxt, Bitter, Overgrown(LE), Pinks: Sushi Flower, Cranberry, Plum dressing, Yellows: Spring Up(LE) thats all I can think of off the top of my head
Fluidline: Haven't used them yet
Shadesticks: Haven't Tried them out
Lipsticks: Pink Cabana is sooo pretty and it's LE too!
Lipglass: Pink Poodle, Petit Four, Dreamy.
Blushers: Don't really use blush...
Paints: Bare Canvas!!
Eyekohl: Don't use it.
I'd also recc if you get Bare Canvas paint to use Shell CCB (Colour Creme Base) over top. Makes the best base ever

Ok, I need some help here... I wanna get Lure Collection, but can't decide which colour... What will you get if you were me?

Hmmm, let's see....

For:

Lipstick: Stroke of Lust (any suggestion?)
Fluidline: Delphic, it's kinda look like Aqualine LLL, or it's just me?
E/s: Waternymph (of course), Aquavert (should I? or any better colour?).
Lipglass: Not sure which one? Any suggestion?
Blushcreme: No Idea as well... =/

if you were to give to have only 3 items from Lure, what would you choose? Currently I'm thinking of getting 2 Eyeshadows and 1 Fluidline, but my eyes still eyeing on the lipstuffs too... which to choose? Lipstsick or Lipglass?
