but it is hard to resist any kind of purple. If I'm able to see them irl I'll def check them out

If you like the color scheme of the MES, try them out in person. I find them smooth and buttery. MAC really stepped up their game!

Can NC44 wear Play it Proper? If not, I think I'm skipping this collection. Nothing is really speaking to me.

The last time I saw play it proper was i believe in the cham pale collection and i swatched both play it proper and too chic and went for too chic which is an amazing highlighter. Play it proper was a little ashy. I think it was the pink in that did not work for me. For reference i wear nars tahoe.

I compared Naval Blue Pigment to Blue Storm Pigment from Fall Colour Collection.
And they are quite close.Blue Storm is only a little darker.
