Is it too much to hope that this will pave the way for MAC to introduce NW15 or NW18 in the Pro Longwear foundation? I want it baaaaad.

Oh, an NW15 would be brilliant. I was SO sad when I realized that NC15 would be the only really pale shade. I've had to settle for a slight yellow tinge. I'd rather have that than be too dark...

I'm pretty excited for N18. I'm between 15 and 20 and have neither strong yellow, nor strong pink undertones, so I think this will be perfect!

I hate to burst everyone's bubble, but I'm pretty sure N18 is the super duper dark one in the photos. Think about it, N9 is SF Powder is already pretty dark, and as with all MAC foundations the higher the number the darker the color.

The N18 is in Studio Fix Fluid, not the powder. And in the liquid foundation, NW15/NC15 is the lightest, and after that comes NW20/NC20. N18 is simply a neutral based color, in the shade of 18 - in between 15 and 20 :)

ITA. I was matched as NC15 and told I am "warm toned," and I agree I have yellow undertones, but the NC15 still looks a little to yellow on me, almost like I have hepatitis or something (sallow). I try to balance it out with a pink MSF or powder, but it still looks sort of sallow on me. On the other hand, NW15 looks too pink. So a foundation that's neither warm nor cool could be the start of a beautiful friendship with MAC foundation for me too.

[/quote] Have you tried the Mineralize foundation? I think the NC15 there is pretty neutral (same boat as you) and some others said that the NC15 in the Pro Longwear is also pretty neutral. Some NW15 people can wear the NC15. hth.

Thanks for the suggestion^. I've been kind of staying away from MAC foundations, as they don't seem quite right. But I haven't tried Mineralize.

So will these new shades of Studio Fix Fluid be permanent? NW18 sounds like it has the potential to be "the one" for me, as I've tried several different NW20s (with being color matched, I've only bought one MAC foundation) and most are a tad too dark and even still it bothers me. The Prolongwear NW20 seems the closest to me, however, you can tell it's off. I have not tried this foundation in NW15 only bc I prefer to buy foundation in person and every color match I've gotten has been off. I try not to cause myself headaches with the MUA by disagreeing, so I test it out for the day on my skin.

I wear the Pro Longwear in NC15, even though NW15 is my perfect match. It works really well for me, so you should ask for a sample and see for yourself :)

I got the Prolongwear NC15 and its perfect for Winter. I'd like the N18 for summer. A LOT. Has anyone tried the new gel based formula? Is this like a cream to powder? Really, really curious about this, guess I will have to go and get personally in touch. I am such a tactile girl. For me, foundation is all about texture! I would love one that lasts like Prolongwear but is creamier and less mask-like.

I'm interested in the powder -- I use Studio Fix powder but it doesn't do so well covering the acne scars on my forehead. Excited to try it!
